Vehicle Movements Current Arrangements

Only fully trained, licensed, responsible drivers move and test vehicles, particularly high-performance, automatic transmission and Hybrid vehicles

All visiting drivers and delegates are made aware of Academy rules and that Hybrid vehicles are manoeuvring on site. All delegates are checked for suitability to drive

Vehicle keys are secure and unavailable to delegates when vehicles are not in use.

Delegates cannot access workshop areas unsupervised (Access Control)

Supervision is provided when car park is overcrowded, vehicles are manoeuvring in restricted spaces and especially when reversing

Traffic routes, of sufficient width and headroom, to allow people and vehicles to circulate in safety

Vehicle access to shared pedestrian and vehicle parking area is controlled

Vehicles and pedestrians are kept apart by ensuring they use entirely separate routes where possible. The shared route is well lit with good visibility

Vehicle parking density is controlled in certain areas to enhance safety margins
