Title: Veterinary Neurology Technician

Job Description: Our Veterinary Neurology Technicians are responsible for many duties which include, but are not limited to: administering treatments to hospitalized patients, maintenance of medical, anesthesia, and surgery records/logs, anesthesia induction, maintenance and monitoring, surgical preparation of patients, circulating in the operating room, scrubbing in to assist during surgical procedures, immediate pre and post-operative treatments, recovery of surgery patients assisting with appointments, running in-house lab work, and operating the digital radiography unit. Our technicians manage their cases with a variety of pre and post-op medication protocols, propofol induction, and isoflurane, or narcotic CRI maintenance. They continuously monitor their patients during anesthesia with the assistance of pulse oximetry, ECG, capnography and Doppler blood pressure. Requirements: Applicants must be graduates of an AVMA approved Veterinary Technology Program and must obtain their RVT status within two years of employment.
