This region is blessed with natural riches: snowy Alpine peaks, rushing streams and velvet forests that stir the romantic soul. During this tour you will discover the wonderful castles of King Ludwig II and the beauty of Bavaria‘s and Austria’s lakes and countryside. You will also explore the fascinating cities of Munich, Innsbruck and Salzburg with rich history and charming old town centers. Day 1 Munich Your tour will start in Munich, famous for its beer and hospitality. Sightseeing tour of the city, including Marienplatz square. The afternoon is free to explore at your leisure.

Day 2 Munich - Füssen In the morning we will continue to Füssen, a picturesque village nestled among towering Alpine peaks. In the afternoon we visit the famous Neuschwanstein castle, built by the infamous “Mad King“ of Bavaria, Ludwig II.

Day 3 Füssen - Linderhof - Oberammergau - Garmisch-Partenkirchen After breakfast we visit Linderhof castle. Then we travel to Oberammergau, a picturesque town known for its annual Passion play. Today‘s final destination is Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany’s winter sports capital and site of the 1936 winter Olympics. This mountainous region also features Germany’s highest peak, the Zugspitze.

Day 4 Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Mittenwald - Innsbruck In the morning we continue to Mittenwald. Upon arrival in Innsbruck sightseeing tour with the city‘s most important monuments, such as the Golden Roof and the Royal church with its black statues. The highlight will be a ride on the modern Nordkettenbahn cable car to the Seegrube ski resort, at an altitude of 2.000 m. Enjoy breathtaking views.In the evening enjoy a typical Tyrolean evening and dinner with folkloric music and dances.

Day 5 Innsbruck - Wattens - Salzburg Today we travel to Wattens to visit the famous “World of Crystal“ Swarovski museum. Next we continue to Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. In the afternoon you enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city with the Mirabell gardens, the Salzburg fortress, the Cathedral and Getreidegasse.

Day 6 Lake District After breakfast we start our excursion to the Lake District of Salzburg. Our first stop will be in St. Gilgen before travelling a little further on to St. Wolfgang. Enjoy a beautiful boat trip on Lake Wolfgang. In the afternoon you will pass the picturesque Krottensee and the castle of Hüttenstein. We continue along the shores of the Moon Lake to Salzburg.

Day 7 Salzburg - Herrenchiemsee - Munich On the way back to Munich you will visit Herrenchiemsee. This island in the Chiemsee is home to a fantastical palace spawned by Ludwig II´s warped imagination. After a tour of the castle you continue to Munich.

Day 1 Frankfurt - Rhine - Nürburgring Our tour starts along the romantic Rhine. After a brief visit of Rüdesheim and the famous Drosselgasse you will board a river boat to St. Goar, sailing along the most scenic stretch of the river: the Loreley Valley. From there we continue toward Koblenz and if time allows, you will ascend to the fortress Ehrenbreitstein by cable car. The day ends at the Nürburgring racetrack.

Day 2 Nürburgring - Heidelberg - Stuttgart In the morning you will experience the legendary racetrack up close. Take a lap on the Nordschleife featuring blind curves, treacherous blind crests, steep grades, and frequent changes in road conditions and is therefore one of the most demanding and challenging tracks for any motor sports fan. After this adrenalin rush enjoy Heidelberg, idyllically located on the shores of the Neckar river. This day ends in Stuttgart.

Day 3 Stuttgart Stuttgart is not only home to Mercedes-Benz and Porsche but is also one of the greenest cities in Europe with a lovely historical center. We will visit the Mercedes Benz Museum that displays over 1.400 different Mercedes-Benz models, ranging from the first car built by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler to today’s high-tech models. Next we visit the Porsche museum. The collection features 80 of the most important prototypes.

Day 4 Stuttgart - Black Forest - Lindau From automobile-city Stuttgart we go back to nature and cross part of the Black Forest. Impressive woods, magnificent gorges and mountain lakes make this a magical forest. From there we follow the shores of Lake Constance until we arrive in Lindau.

Day 5 Lindau - Füssen Enjoy the morning in Lindau. Visit the historic city center or simply enjoy a swim in the lake. In the afternoon we continue the tour to Füssen. Weather permitting, we will take the German Alpine Road.

Day 6 Neuschwanstein - Linderhof - Oberammergau - Munich We start the day with a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, built by Ludwig II, the notorious “Mad King”. His second and favorite castle Linderhof follows next. In the afternoon we travel to Oberammergau, famous for the Passion Play and lovely crafts. Late arrival in Munich.

Day 7 Munich This day is dedicated to the BMW brand. You’ll visit the BMW Museum, one of the most modern car museums in the world. It tells the history of the renowned BMW brand and displays a collection of cars, engines and motorcycles, as well as some extravagant futuristic models. Next we walk over to the “BMW Welt“ and join a guided tour of the exhibition. The highlight will be a visit to the BMW factory where all parts are assembled.

Day 8 Munich - Ingolstadt - Munich Today we make an excursion to Ingolstadt - home to Audi. We will visit the modern museum. This impressive 21 m tall crystal construction displays approximately 50 cars and 30 motorcycles. Depending on your interests you can use the rest of the day to shop at the Ingolstadt Village Luxury Outlet or visit more sights in Munich.

Day 9 Munich - Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Frankfurt After breakfast we travel to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Romantic Germany. Sightseeing tour of this lovely medieval town. Next we travel to Frankfurt. The program ends at Frankfurt airport or the city center.

Germany is one of the most innovative countries in the field of renewable energy. Explore the pioneering world of renewable energy and learn more about solar, wind and water power and cutting- edge geothermal initiatives that use heat generated by the earth itself.

Day 1 Munich Your tour will start in the capital of Bavaria, famous for its beer and hospitality. Sightseeing tour and visit of BMW Headquarters in Munich with an amazing 8.000 m² Solar roof - view from the Munich TV Tower. In the afternoon visit of the Deutsches Museum, said to be the world‘s largest science and technology collection.

Day 2 Munich - Unterhaching - Füssen After breakfast, visit the Geothermie Unterhaching power plant. The biggest and technologically most advanced geothermal plant in the world produces up to 21.500 MWh each year. This renewable energy is then fed into the public power grid. In the afternoon we visit the famous Neuschwanstein Castle, built by the infamous “Mad King“ of Bavaria, Ludwig II.

Day 3 Füssen - Lindau - Radolfzell - Freiburg In the morning you´ll visit the small island of Lindau, which boasts spectacular views of the Alps. You will enjoy a 50 min. boat trip on Lake Constance on the HELIO Solar Ship. Freiburg is internationally well known for its environmental approach and its extensive use of solar energy and other renewable sources.

Day 4 Freiburg Freiburg is THE Solar City par excellence. Visit the solar info-center, various solar-power projects, the Solar Village and the famous “Heliotrop“ - a house that moves 24 h along with the sun. You´ll find solar panels everywhere – even on the roofs of the local prison. Wind turbines arise from the Black Forest hills.

Day 5 Freiburg - Heidelberg - Frankfurt In the morning you travel to Heidelberg to visit the famous castle and tour the historic city center. Embark on a silent and emission-free boat tour onboard the solar-powered catamaran Neckarsonne. Overnight in Frankfurt.

Day 6 Frankfurt - Jühnde - Göttingen - Hannover Today you´ll get to know the first bio energy village in Germany - Jühnde. The village is entirely self- sufficient in producing its energy from biomass. On the way to Hannover we stop briefly in Göttingen and visit its historical old town.

Day 7 Hannover - Bremen - Cuxhaven After breakfast we continue to Bremen. The city tour will include a visit to the Weser football Stadium with its eye-catching energy concept. The installation features around 16.000 sqm of solar cells - the only facility of its kind in a German stadium. In the afternoon we continue to Cuxhaven to visit the Offshore Basis wind park.

Day 8 Cuxhaven - Hamburg - Lübeck After breakfast we depart for Hamburg. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city on the Elbe River, including a visit to the solar residential area of Bramfeld. In the afternoon we travel to Lübeck.

Day 9 Lübeck - Güstrow - Berlin In the morning we visit a Bio Energy Park. Unlike any other facility in the world, the “Güstrow“ Bio Energy Park is currently the largest bio-gas plant in the world. Five “clover leaves“ with four fermenters produce 46 million m³ of bio-methane per year in a climate-neutral way. In the afternoon we travel to Berlin.

Day 10 Berlin During a city tour you will have the opportunity to visit Berlin’s many well known historic locations. Berlin is also known for its creative use of renewable energy. One of the best examples is the solar- powered government quarter. Berlin’s main train station features one of the most impressive solar power projects in Germany.

Day 3 Rothenburg - Dinkelsbühl - Augsburg In the morning we travel to Dinkelsbühl, an idyllic medieval town with 16 towers. Then we continue to Augsburg. The city made a name for itself in the Middle Ages with the amazing craftsmanship of its silversmiths and goldsmiths.

Day 4 Augsburg - Füssen - Neuschwanstein After breakfast we travel to Füssen and visit the fairytale castle of Neuschwanstein.

Day 5 Füssen - Linderhof - Oberammergau - Munich In the morning we visit Linderhof castle. In the afternoon you travel to Oberammergau, a picturesque town known for its annual Passion play. Arrival in Munich.

Day 4 Trier - Strasbourg In the morning we discover the numerous ancient buildings that shape the face of Trier. After lunch in a traditional restaurant we continue to Strasbourg in France. The Alsace region is known for ist delicious food and cozy atmosphere. Enjoy your dinner at a highly recommended local restaurant. Accommodation at the hotel Cour de Corbeau****.

Day 5 Strasbourg - Riquewihr - Colmar - Freiburg Our day starts with a visit to Riquewihr, classified as one of the “plus beaux villages de France” - most beautiful villages of France. After lunch in a wonderful location we will continue to Colmar, situated along the Alsatian Wine Route and considers itself to be the “Capital of Alsatian Wine“. Overnight in Freiburg at the Parkhotel Post****.

Day 6 Freiburg - Black Forest - Baiersbronn After a visit to lovely Freiburg we travel into the green heart of the Black Forest. Admire the impressive beauty of this unique landscape. Taste some of the local delic acies like the famous Black Forest Cherry Cake and the smoked ham “Schwarzwälder Schinken”. Conclude the day with an exquisit tasting menu of Claus-Peter Lumpp. His multiple-award-winning restaurant Bareiss awaits you with extraordinary three-star Michelin culinary art. Day 3 Constance - Lake Titi - Freiburg We continue with a tour to Lake Titi, a glacial lake in the heart of the Black Forest. Get an insight on the traditional cuckoo clock production at Hofgut Sternen. In the afternoon we continue to Freiburg. Sightseeing tour of the city.

Day 4 Freiburg - Colmar - Strasbourg The Rhine River forms the natural border between Germany and France. After crossing the river we arrive in Colmar. This city is known for its outstanding wines and architectural heritage that reflect the long history of this region and the German and French influences. Day 5 Strasbourg - Heidelberg - Frankfurt In the morning we travel to Heidelberg and visit its famous castle. Day 1 Frankfurt - Baden-Baden In the morning transfer to Baden-Baden, the former summer residence of the European nobility, known worldwide for its thermal baths. Another one of its attractions is the casino, at the foot of the Black Forest. Enjoy a city tour. As an optional excursion, spend a few hours relaxing in the famous classic „Friedrichsbad“ SPA or in the modern „Caracalla Therme“ baths in Baden-Baden.

Day 2 Baden-Baden - Black Forest - Lake Titi In the morning we travel to Freudenstadt via the “Schwarzwald Hochstrasse“. One of Germany’s oldest scenic routes, through the northern part of the Black Forest offers fabulous views of the landscape. Continue to Lake Titi, the jewel of the southern Black Forest. In winter, the lake sometimes freezes over completely.

Day 3 Lake Titi - Freiburg In the morning enjoy an excursion in the region of Lake Titi. Time permitting, visit Schluchsee Lake or take the chairlift to the top of Feldberg mountain (1.493 m), the highest peak in the Black Forest (chairlift ticket not included). In the afternoon, travel to Freiburg and visit the city.

Day 4 Freiburg - Colmar - Strasbourg The river Rhine forms a natural border between Germany and France. After crossing the Rhine, you will reach Colmar. This city is famous for its wines and architectural heritage that reflects the region‘s long history and its French and German influences. Continue to Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace and enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city. The “grand ile“ (great island) is classified an UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 5 Strasbourg - Heidelberg - Frankfurt In the morning you travel to Heidelberg to visit the famous castle. Heidelberg is Germany’s oldest university town and one of the most popular destinations in the country. Then continue to Frankfurt. Afternoon arrival in Frankfurt and transfer to the airport or hotel.

Day 1 Frankfurt Arrival at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Frankfurt.

Day 2 Frankfurt This morning you will enjoy a city tour of Frankfurt including all major attractions of this business capital such as the old central square “Römer” and the cathedral. The afternoon is free at your leisure. Alternatively your guide can suggest some attractions to visit outside of Frankfurt, for example Würzburg or Mainz.

Day 3 Frankfurt - Rhine River - Cologne After breakfast we depart for Rüdesheim. Short sightseeing tour before we board a river cruise on the Rhine to sail along its most beautiful stretch: the Loreley Valley (aprox. 1.5 hours). In the afternoon we continue to Cologne and visit the city center and its famous cathedral.

Day 4 Cologne - Hamelin - Hamburg Today we travel from Cologne to Hamburg. On the way we will stop in Hamelin, known for the folk tale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Enjoy a walk through the city before we continue to Hamburg.

Day 5 Hamburg Take this day to discover the great city of Hamburg. Though located 100 km from the sea, Hamburg obtains its fame by its huge port. There are more bridges than in Venice and almost as many attractions.

Day 6 Hamburg - Lübeck - Wismar Travel from Hamburg to Lübeck, the magnificently preserved medieval headquarters of the Hanseatic League. The day ends in Wismar whose Altstadt has been UNESCOlisted in 2002.

Day 7 Wismar - Schwerin - Berlin The state capital, Schwerin, has an incredible castle at its heart and is one of the most striking small towns in Germany. From there we finally reach Germany’s capital Berlin.

Day 8 Berlin This day is entirely dedicated to Berlin. Visit all of its main attractions like the Brandenburg Gate, Potsdam Square, the government building, the Holocaust Memorial, Checkpoint Charlie and much more. In the afternoon, take a river cruise on the Spree river through the city.

Day 9 Berlin - Potsdam - Berlin Just half an hour outside Berlin you will find yourself in the middle of fantastic parks, gardens, lakes and various palaces. After a visit to Sanssouci we will take a walk through Potsdam and its cozy “Dutch quarter”.

Day 10 Berlin - Dresden After breakfast we travel to Dresden: baroque brilliance and the mystical beauty make Dresden one of the most beautiful cities in former East Germany.

Day 11 Dresden - Meissen - Dresden In the morning we visit Meissen, which in 1710 became the cradle of European porcelain manufacturing. On our return we will stop in Radebeul for a little wine tasting in the surrounding vineyards. The next stop is at Moritzburg Castle before we reach Dresden.

Day 12 Dresden - Prague - Dresden Only 150 km south of Dresden you will cross the border to the Czech Republic and Prague. Visit the “Golden City” and its monuments. In the late afternoon return to Dresden.

Day 14 Nuremberg - Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Nuremberg Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a dream come true for all romantics. Small alleyways paved with cobblestone and towered walls give the town an irresistible charm.

Day 15 Nuremberg - Regensburg - Munich 1.5 hours south-east of Nuremberg we find one of the best preserved medieval cities in Germany: Regensburg. Two millennia of history endowed the city with some of the region’s finest architectural heritage, a fact recognized by UNESCO in 2006. The evening in Munich is free at your leisure.

Day 3 Schesslitz - Erlangen - Nuremberg - Wernberg (182 km) Today you travel south and make your first stop in Erlangen, a lovely town often overlooked by tourists. Continue to Nuremberg, an interesting and harmonious blend of a modern and medieval city. Overnight at the former fortress Hotel Burg Wernberg****.

Day 4 Wernberg - Kallmünz - Regensburg - Kehlheim - Riedenburg (125 km) Start early and drive to Kallmünz. From there continue your tour to Regensburg. The city boasts a rich collection of buildings from the 12th to 14th century. Beautiful located at the Danube you will find the Walhalla, modeled on the Parthenon in Athens. Then continue to Kehlheim where you should visit the Befreiungshalle and of course the monastery Weltenburg, where monks still produce their own beer. This summer residence “without care” was built by Frederick the Great between 1745 and 1747 and is regarded as the main work of German rococo architecture. Due to its fantatstic gardens, the Palace is often referred to as "Prussian Versailles". In 12 rooms, visitors can marvel at the original furniture and décor of the 18th century be transported back into the times of Frederick the Great, who preferred this palace and its marvelous gardens to withdraw with his dogs from the rest of the world.
