Practice Managers’ Newsletter Spring/Summer 2018

Thank you for reading our latest newsletter!

We are writing this as the sun is shining! We hope this continues!!

We hope this newsletter finds you all well.

Hello’s and Goodbye’s We welcome Alex to the Practice, who is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner who joined us in March. She will be working together with Chris Thomas, so that we have a Nurse Practitioner on duty every day of the week. We said goodbye to Jenny who joined us only in December – She has decided to move to be closer to her family. She will be missed.

Happy News! Congratulations to the Happy Couple! Dr. Ramon and Mrs. Ramon tied the knot in April – On behalf of everyone at the practice we wish them happiness for their future!

Appointment System You will begin to notice some changes in our appointment system in the coming few weeks, we are trying to make improvements, please bear with us whilst we iron out the kinks!

Patient Participation Group – PPG Together with the PPG we have devised a Practice Survey – Please could you spare a few moments to give us some feedback – we welcome your comments.

Charity We recently had David from St. Barnabas spreading the word of his charity in the waiting room. We would like to welcome other charities to get in touch if they would like to do something similar. Our food bank is still proving a great success and we would like to thank everyone who has contributed.

SPRING/SUMMER BANK HOLIDAYS

The Surgery will be closed on Monday 7th May Monday 28th May Monday 27th August

With this in mind, please make sure that you order your prescription in plenty of time. Carers If you are a carer for one of our patients, please let the reception staff know and they can record this on the notes of the patient you care for. Also, if you are registered here we can record this on your notes so if we have any information that may help you as a carer we will be able to pass this on.

Accessible Information If you require information from us by alternative means, such as larger print, a call instead of a letter or in another language for example, please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate you. We will put a ‘reminder’ on the home screen of your medical records so that the clinicians will see this when they open your record and the admin team when they prepare to contact you if your GP has asked them to do so.

Holidays If you are travelling abroad, don’t leave it too late to book in for your holiday vaccinations and order Malaria tablets.

Best wishes from Dr. Ramon and The Practice Managers
