Access Statement For Sea Tree House, Lyme Regis – Tamarind Tree Apartment

Introduction

Tamarind Tree Apartment is a fully self contained self catering apartment on the ground floor of Sea Tree House. We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please do call. We look forward to welcoming you.

Pre-Arrival

•We have a basic website •Bookings / enquiries can be made via email or phone •The nearest bus stop in the town is 90 metres from the entrance. •The nearest train station (Axminster) is 5 miles away; there is a bus stop and taxis that regularly stop at the station and come in to Lyme Regis. •The beach is 80 metres from the front door. • Banks, shops, restaurants and pubs range from 10-80 metres away from the front door.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

•There is a private car park 290 metres away with an allocated space for our customers to park. •Car park is levelled tarmac and flat and even. •Customers can unload and load outside Sea Tree House. •The entrance is opposite Lloyds TSB Bank on Broad Street. •The entrance is clearly signed. Main Entrance & Reception

Sea Tree House: •The entrance up to Sea Tree House has 12 steps – 19cm high, 28cm deep, 100cm wide. It has a hand rail on the left. The door is 98cm wide.(hinged on the right) and the key hole lock is 130cm high.

Tamarind Tree Apartment: •Immediately on the left is Tamarind Tree Apartment. The door is 75cm wide inwards opening to a corridor. Key hole 84cm high. •The corridor is 100cm wide. Off it is first the bathroom and then the kitchen then the bedroom. At the end of the corridor is the large living room with dining area.

Living Room & Dining Area

•Door width 85cm

•The Living room is open plan with a dining area in the bay window. •Flooring is short pile carpet throughout.

•Two double sofas are provided.

•Furniture is moveable.

•Central large coffee table.

•Wooden sideboard. •Large wooden bookcase •Teletext TV provided with remote control (also available are DVD, stereo with CD, radio and tape)

Dining Area •Large oval Table with central support, 72cm high, set on raised platform 33cm high with fixed bench seats set in alcove. Further chair and highchair available if needed.

Laundry

•There is no separate laundry but there is a standard size washer dryer, which is front loading, provided in the kitchen.

Bedroom

•Door width 85cm •Twin beds – 3 ft 3inches. •Bed height 62cm floor to top of mattress. •Non Feather duvets and pillows provided. •Sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases are cotton •Ensuite bathroom •Largest transfer space available to each side of beds is 115cm •Bed is movable if more space is required to one side •Largest free space clear of doors and furniture is130cm by 375cm Bathroom & WC

•Door width 68cm •Bath with flexible shower over. •Bath height is 60cm. •Free space in bathroom (free of doors and furniture) is 110cm by 89cm •Toilet seat height 43cm •Flooring is stone tiles •Good colour contrast between floor, walls and furniture •Space under washbasin is free.

Self-Catering Kitchen

•Door from corridor 85cm •Worktop height 90cm. •Oven door is drop down, height of lowest shelf 15cm, can be accessed from the side •Sink is 90cm high with cupboards underneath •Hob is 90cm high and electric •Hard Flooring •At least 87cm free space between all furniture and worktops •Evenly lit kitchen with spotlights above cooker •Good contrast between floor, cupboards and other surfaces •Fridge and freezer, highest shelf in fridge 130cm

Grounds and Gardens

•Small garden available to all residents at Sea Tree House.
