Content Objectives: TSW read and identify different elements of fairytales. Materials: Fairytale flipchart, Traditional Literature Booklet & All STAARS Spring Training Booklet Resources: Balanced Literacy Time: 8:00-9:30, 9:30-11:00, 11:00-11:25/1:15-2:25 Assessment: Booklet

Connect: TTW ask students to share what they know about fairytales.

Teach:

 TTW explain the elements that make a fairytale by showing and discussing the flipchart. TTW read aloud Cinderella.

Guided Practice:

 TSW work together to fill in fairytale chart.

Link:

 TTW tell TS that they will be applying what we did today with their choice of 2 fairytales by Friday.

Independent Practice:
