DFD/Flowchart Assignment (30 points)

This assignment examines two documentation tools: data flow diagrams and flowcharts.

Data Flow Diagrams (18 points – 8 for context DFD and 10 for detailed DFD) Use the narrative description in problem 3.11 with the following modification to create a context level DFD and a Level 0 DFD:

Total course enrollment reports are prepared and forwarded to the Provost Office and to the College President. A report forecasting total student fees expected is prepared and forwarded to the Controller.

Context DFD should be placed in MS Word, PowerPoint or other diagramming software. Neatly hand-written zero level DFD is acceptable.

Flowchart (12 points) Use the narrative description in problem 3.3 (changed 3 11 09) to create systems flowcharts for claim payment process. A neatly hand-written flowchart is acceptable.
