Minutes of a meeting of the Planning Committee held on Monday 4th February 2008 at 12.00noon at the Parish Council Office, 12 High Street.

213/08. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST There were no declarations of interest

214/08. MR & MRS REYNOLDS - PRESENTATION REGARDING PROPOSAL TO OPEN CHILDREN’S DAY NURSERY Mr & Mrs Reynolds were welcomed to the meeting and gave a short presentation. They have sought advice from and will be working with a franchise called Monkey Puzzle. There is presently no facility of a children’s Day Nursery in the village. Plans were presented for development of a purpose built nursery at Fishpool Farm. Its location will accommodate a very safe environment for the children with ample parking facilities and will not cause disturbance to local residents. It is also proposed to provide before and after school club and child care during holidays. The development is intended to include indoor and outdoor play areas for use by all children of the village not limited to those attending the nursery.

A P/07/3233/2 Mr & Mrs M Bradwell – 44 Cotes Road – Erection of a detached dwelling – The Parish Council made no objection B P/07/3598/2 Mr & Mrs M Bradwell – 42 Cotes Road – Formation of access and parking (Revised scheme – refusal P/07/0028/2 refers) - The Parish Council made no objection C P/07/3610/2 Mr A Dallow – 3 Caxton Place – Reduce height of 9 Conifer trees and remove lower branches of 1 Cherry tree (Conservation Area Notice) – Referred to Borough Council Tree Officer D P/07/3495/2 A R J Markham – Cliffe House, 5 Bridge Street – Erection of two dwellings and garages with access and landscaping (Revised scheme –application P/07/1544/2 withdrawn) - The Parish Council has major concerns with regard to vehicular movements in conflict with pedestrian use of an extremely busy public footpath and route to school adjacent to proposed access and also sited at a busy road with little or no visibility to oncoming traffic. It should also be noted that there have been 5 reported road traffic accidents in this area in the last 6 years.
