Year 8 Science Project 2014 Name: ______Form: ______Topic: Digestive System Model Teacher: Mr. Hung Due on: ______

You are required to build a working model of digestive system using throw away articles like empty bottles and some pipes.

Other suggested materials include: plastic tubing of different diameter, plastic container, boxes, PVC pipe, polystyrene, milk cartoon, syringe (without needle) etc. You can use other materials to represent different organs.

You need to find out all the main structures and their functions. The structures required are: large intestine, anus, small intestine, mouth, teeth, rectum, pancreas, liver, gall bladder, salivary gland. Tongue, oesophagus, stomach.

You need to write down 3 sources in details where you obtain information for making this model.

You will assemble a digestive system that is the actual length of their own digestive systems.

You need to make reasonable connections among organs.
