Lourdes University hosts Prison Awareness Week event April 7th event addresses “What Works in Juvenile Corrections”

Lourdes University and the Department of Sociology and Justice Studies is pleased to once again host one of the 4th Annual Prison Awareness Week events. On Thursday, April 7, “What Works in Juvenile Corrections” will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Franciscan Center, 6832 Convent Blvd. in Sylvania. The guest speaker is Kendra Kec, Assistant Court Administrator of the Lucas County Juvenile Court.

“We are delighted to once again support and participate in this Toledoans for Prison Awareness event,” says Dr. Dale Lanigan, Chair of the Sociology and Justice Studies Department. Two other Prison Awareness Week events at St. Andrews Episcopal Church and Wesley United Methodist Church are scheduled earlier that day.
