While we are operating under the policy of open enrollment, it is the responsibility of the student and parent(s) to make sure that the student has met any prerequisite(s) required prior to enrolling in an AP Science course. Please check the appropriate course catalog for prerequisite information.

AP teachers will provide their recommendations as to the likelihood each student will be successful in the desired AP course. This does not exclude any student from registering for an AP Science course, provided s/he has met the prerequisite(s). However, an application MUST BE TURNED IN for a student to register for an AP Science Course. Failure to hand in an application will prevent the student from registering for an AP Science Course – NO EXCEPTIONS!

Directions for completion of AP application form: Make a c heck in the box when each task is completed to ensure a complete application.

1. Indicate which AP science course(s) you wish to take in the 2016-17 school year by filling in the name of the course in the spaces below.

2. IF YOU HAVE A FIRST AND SECOND CHOICE, BE SURE TO FILL IN BOTH,

3. Log onto GENESIS and print out both your transcript (grade history) and current year’s grades. (SEE NOTE ON BOTTOM OF NEXT PAGE)

4. You must submit this completed form TO THE TEACHER OF THE COURSE that you listed.

5. If you listed a second choice course, YOU MUST SUBMIT A SEPARATE APPLICATION TO THE TEACHER OF THAT COURSE.

6. Submit the application no later than Wednesday, January 20 th , 2016 by 3:00 PM

You will find out if you have been recommended for the course(s) of your choice when you register for your 2014-15 school year classes.
