John Reid Memorial 39th Annual Bantam AAA Hockey Tournament Sponsorship Opportunities

The St Albert Raiders Hockey Club is proud to host the John Reid Memorial 39th Annual Bantam AAA Tournament. This prestigious invitational tournament has grown to become one of Western Canada’s premier minor hockey tournaments and will take place in St Albert from January 19th thru 22nd, 2017.

This year teams from across Western Canada and the United States will be represented with many leading bantam age players competing for the coveted championship. Scouts from all major junior teams will be in attendance looking for future stars. Previous participants include JaromeIginla, Vincent Lecavalier, Brad Richards, Jonathan Towes, Colton Parayko and Jordan Eberle, just to name a few. This tournament showcases high caliber up-and-coming hockey talent and continues to be a fan favorite as evidenced by the consistently large crowds attending this four-day event.

Hosting a tournament of this magnitude requires many dedicated volunteers and the support of the community as a whole. Costs are significant and corporate sponsors play an integral role in the success of this event. Some of the costs involved in hosting this event include:

Ice Rental for 42 games Team Warm-up space for 42 games Referees for 42 games Awards and Medals Team Banquet

In addition to the aforementioned items, the John Reid Memorial Tournament fosters the growth and development of the sport in our community by providing full funding for our School Program initiative wherein local elementary school classes are provided with free admission and paid busing to attend games. In 2016, over 1,000 local students participated in this program.

It is only through the generous support of the community that we are able to host this prestigious tournament. We would like to offer you the unique opportunity to support our efforts by sponsorship in one of the following areas:

MAJOR SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

Player of the Game Sponsor - $3,500.00 This award is given out at each game to the one player from each team, who stands out as having the most significant impact in their game. (84 awards) The corporate sponsor for this award will receive maximum exposure by being recognized at the end of each game as this major award sponsor and, if they wish, they will be welcome to have a member of their company attend each game to present this award to the winning recipient. The corporate sponsor will also receive a full page advertisement in the Tournament program and their contribution as a major sponsor will be recognized on the Tournament website.

Major Banquet Sponsor - $5,000.00 The Tournament Awards Banquet is a major component of the Tournament Weekend with all players and many of their parents in attendance. The corporate sponsor will be recognized for their contribution by being named as a premier sponsor on the Banquet tickets and with in-venue signage at the banquet facility. The corporate sponsor will also receive a full page advertisement in the Tournament program and their contribution as a major sponsor will be recognized on the Tournament website.

Tournament Allstar Awards Sponsor - $2,500.00 These awards recognize the tournament’s ten top skaters and two top goalies as members of the two Tournament Allstar Teams. The recipients receive personalized tournament awards jerseys to acknowledge their achievements as the best of the best in the tournament. These awards are presented at the Tournament Banquet. The corporate sponsor for this award will be recognized for their contribution at the banquet and will be welcome to have two members of their company attend the banquet to present the awards to the lucky recipients. The corporate sponsor will also receive a full page advertisement in the Tournament program and their contribution as a major sponsor will be recognized on the Tournament website.

Tournament Championship Medals Sponsor (Gold and Silver awards) - $1,500.00 SOLD These awards are given out at the final championship game to the two participating teams. The corporate sponsor for this award will be recognized for their contribution at the end of the championship game and be welcome to have a member of their company attend the game to present the medals to the participating teams. The corporate sponsor will also receive a full page advertisement in the Tournament program and their contribution as a major sponsor will be recognized on the Tournament website.

Warm-up Area Sponsor – (3 sponsors of $1,200.00 each or 1 sponsor at $3,500.00 In order to be properly prepared mentally and physically for this elite level of sport, the John Reid Memorial Tournament supplies warm-up facilities for each team in advance of games. Corporate sponsorship is needed to cover these costs. The corporate sponsors will receive a full page advertisement in the Tournament program, their contribution will be recognized with in-venue by signage at the location of the warm-up area as well as recognition as a major sponsor on the Tournament website.

Volunteer Hospitality Room Sponsor – ($1,000.00) In order to host an event of this magnitude a large number of volunteers are required. We greatly appreciate all of our many, long-standing volunteer partners and to express our appreciation to people for contributing their time we provide a Volunteer Hospitality Room with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages available during the event. This corporate sponsor will receive a full page advertisement in the Tournament program. They will also be promoted as the Volunteer Hospitality sponsor with in-venue signage and recognition on the Tournament website as a major sponsor.

Divisional Sponsor – (4 x $600.00) The teams are divided into four divisions of four teams each. We are seeking corporate sponsorship for each of these divisions. These corporate sponsors will receive a one-half page advertisement in the Tournament program as well as additional recognition throughout the program with their corporate logo displayed recognizing them as a divisional sponsor. They will also have their corporate logos displayed in-venue on results boards and will be recognized on the Tournament website as a major sponsor. 38th Annual John Reid Memorial Bantam AAA Hockey Tournament Sponsorship Opportunities Page 3 of 3 School Program (Cost of the Initiative - $5,000.00 – partial sponsorships welcome) Our School Program was introduced in 2012 with tremendous success. Attendance at a professional hockey game is a luxury that many kids never get to experience but we have opened our event to youngsters to come and watch the stars of the future. It is our hope to again be able give back to the community and cover the full cost of attendance and busing for over 1,000 elementary school age children to come and clap and cheer on the participants and experience this wonderful sport. School Program sponsors will receive recognition in the tournament program and on the tournament website commensurate with their level of sponsorship as arranged between the corporate sponsor and the tournament chairperson.
