04/11/15 Faculty of Life and Health- Students Experience Forum Our President Colum Mackey, Mandy from the Student Engagement Team and I, were joined by Course and Senior reps, Professor Geoff McMullan (Associate Dean), Professor Aine McKillop (Learning & Teaching Co-ordinator) and Heads of school and School Staff. This was an opportunity for Course and Senior Reps to meet with Their Dean and Head Of School to discuss the learning experiences of their course colleagues over a coffee. Professor Professor Neville McClenaghan (Head of School of Biomedical Sciences) suggested that the SU organises events for week 0 to improve the student experience, Mandy and I explained that we did so this year with various events over the first 3 weeks of Semester 1.

Other Meetings/Points to Note:

12/11/15 PIPS Mind your mate Programme I visited the Magee Campus to deliver PIPS MYM programme which a few of the Student officers were trained for in June before we took up our posts. It was a very successful 3 hour workshop with positive feedback from the 25 students that took part.

12-11-15 Quiz master-International Quiz organised by First year Events Management students The Quiz was organised by first year events Management students, a Friend and I were asked to be their quiz master as they seen us as a reliable and outgoing characters. The night was very successful! The SU was decorated in colourful international flags and props and everyone had a fab night! I’d like to congratulate the EM team!

This week’s report doesn’t include much detail due to annual leave on the Monday and Tuesday.
