RIVERBEND I MAY 2021 7 CARBURN PARK 1985 AND NOW The park was built under an agreement between the City and Burnco. Over 800,000 tonnes of gravel was excavated and hauled down what is now the pathway along the river to the Burnco yard. A temporary bridge was used to cross the Bow River near Glenmore Trail. The park was opened in 1986.
