TITLE OF SECTION, EDIT HERE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS national competition APRIL 12–14, 2016 Bob Jones University Greenville, South Carolina 2016 AACS NATIONAL COMPETITION | 1 Welcome from BJU’s President Welcome to Bob Jones University! For nearly four decades BJU has been privileged to host the American Association of Christian Schools national competition on our campus. We’re excited to have you as our guest. I encourage you to get to know BJU while you are here. Take advantage of the opportunity to visit classes, and see firsthand how God is working in the hearts and minds of our students through our highly qualified faculty. As you visit, we hope you will consider BJU for your college education. Our faculty provides you with a world-class education grounded in a biblical worldview that will prepare you well for whatever ministry or vocation the Lord calls you. Our graduates prove this every day as they serve the Lord in local churches, Christian schools, mission fields and many other professions around the world. Earlier this academic year, Christian Universities Online ranked BJU as the fifth most affordable college/university in the country, while Educate to Career, which ranked 1,182 four-year colleges across the country, named BJU the 12th best value college in the country. Colleges are ranked for doing the best job of improving the earnings and attainment of quality employment by their students. It’s no coincidence our graduates are sought after—80 percent of our premed students —far above the national average of 49 percent—were accepted into medical school; 92 percent of our accounting students had a job in their field or were accepted at a graduate school before they graduated (since 2011); senior engineering students average a 90 percent pass rate on the Fundamentals of Engineering exam; and our nursing students regularly outperform national and state pass rates on the NCLEX. Enjoy your visit to BJU. Please let me or any member of our faculty or staff know if we may be of any assistance to you during your visit. We are here for you. Steve Pettit President 2 | 2016 AACS NATIONAL COMPETITION Welcome from AACS’s President I want to welcome you to the National Competition of the American Association of Christian Schools. You are to be congratulated on your wonderful achievement in your state that qualified you to compete at this level. All of us at AACS are proud of you. I want to wish you the very best this week. Most of all, it is the desire of all of us that what we do and say here will bring glory to God and exalt Jesus Christ. I know you will join me in your gratitude to Bob Jones University for their gracious hospitality to us. I want to encourage you to express your own appreciation to those in whose rooms you are staying and others who help you. They are going out of their way for us; “thank you” goes a long way. This is a good opportunity for you to make new friendships and to get to know others from across the country. Please let us know of anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable.
