Welcome to school year 2019-2020

During the first week of July, families should expect to receive important documents in the mail.

A student-specific letter with their PowerSchool login information. Please keep this in a safe location as you will need it to access your account. The annual registration packet. This includes information about paying fees, how to register your student(s), as well as a wealth of general school information. Important dates so you can plan your family calendar around scheduled start up activities for school!

Evening Registration

As a reminder On July 29, 30 and 31 staff will be available from 12-8pm at Glenbard South to assist with residency, registration, and fee related questions. Please call 630-469-6500 to schedule an appointment. Your student must be present at the time of registration in order to complete the registration process and sign off on important documents. (ie: Concussion Protocol, Discipline Code, Extracurricular / Athletic Code of Conduct, and the Technology Acceptable Use Policy). For Freshmen All Freshmen must submit proof of a health examination (school physical) in accordance with School Code and the Illinois Department of Public Health. Health records from the middle schools do not fulfill the requirements for registration. Physical forms should be returned to the Health Center at Glenbard South. Your student will not be allowed to complete the registration process or attend Freshmen Orientation without a completed health examination.

For Seniors Every student entering 12th grade must show proof of having two doses of the meningococcal vaccine, in accordance with District 87 Board Policy. Please return proof of the meningococcal vaccines to the Glenbard South Health Center, to avoid your student being excluded from the first day of school on August 14. Students who arrive to school without a record of vaccination will be sent home.

Seal of Biliteracy The Seal of Biliteracy is obtained by those who have studied and attained a high level of proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. This is noted on the high school transcript and takes the form of a gold seal that appears on the diploma of a graduating senior and serves as a statement of accomplishment for future employers as well as college admissions.
