Borrowing Federal Direct Loans during these periods may reduce your eligibility for this resource during the regular (Fall and ). D. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please read the following points regarding summer/winter/short-term financial aid. 1. To the extent funding permits, Lehigh University makes loans available for matriculated students during the summer and winter terms. Students may be considered for assistance if they will be enrolled at least half-time during the term in which they are requesting aid.

2. Eligibility is based on financial need and the availability of funds.

3. Applicants must satisfy the requirements for making "satisfactory academic progress" in order to be considered eligible for aid.

4. Applicants must have a completed FAFSA application on file for the 2021-2022 academic year.

5. Aid eligibility is based on enrollment status. Students must notify the office of financial aid if there are any changes to the amount of credits for which they are enrolling.

6. Applicants are encouraged to apply for any state and federal grant and/or loan funding for which they might be eligible.

7. Federal Pell Grant eligibility for Summer is determined according to your estimated family contribution, enrolled hours for the term, satisfactory academic progress, and repeat coursework. Pell Grant will be posted after the drop/add date for all Summer sessions has passed. Students who study abroad for the summer will have eligibility for Pell Grant evaluated and determined individually.

8. Please be advised that your Federal Direct loan eligibility for the 2021-2022 academic year will be reduced by the amount of any Federal Direct loan borrowed for these sessions. Federal Direct Loans may be processed on the basis of a minimum of 3 credits enrollment, which is considered half-time during the summer and winter sessions.

9. If you intend to apply for need-based aid for the academic year (Fall, Spring), please review requirements and deadlines (separate from this form) at http://www1.lehigh.edu/financialaid/undergrad/apply.

10. If you are offered a university loan for your summer expenses, you will be required to complete the necessary loan paperwork.
