INFORMATION ABOUT THE AWW GROUP AWW company, is a vodka producer, one of the leaders in the economy segment. The general potential of the company lies in the production of bioethanol, at the level of 4 million litres monthly, and in the production of rectified spiri,t of 3.5 million litres monthly. The company was founded by Wiesław Wawrzyniak. He started his adven- ture with alcohols in 1991, at the beginning offering a wholesale of wines and vodkas. In 1999, there were invest- ments made, in three agricultural distilleries that were modernised (Tursk, Borowiec and Lubczyn). In 2003, the company opened an own spirit rectification and dehydration plant. The company also disposes of 4000 ha agricul- ture areas and the crops produced there are used in the spirit production. The company distils and purifies spirits for own purposes and on other producers’ demand. AWW produces also bioethanol. Own products include vodkas: Jarzębiak, Eskimo, Gorzała, Beringov, Ratafia or Splendor. Other brands are created in co-operation with big chains as: Żabka, Eurocash, or JMP/ and among them are vodkas: Staromiejska, Ułańska, Sadówka, Joker, Horn, 95% rectified spirit for Eurocash and 96% rectified spirit kaliski. The company also co-operates with business partners as , , Dino, , , Leclers and Makro with regards to the production of private label products.

AWW Group proudly continues the tradition of Polish Polmos companies and e.g. vodka Alaska, a product that had once been produced in Polmos Sieradz, was reactivated by the AWW Group. The company produces also Jarzębiak (in two varieties – traditional and vodka Jarzębiak Czysty Luksus, a product that was awarded the Gold Medal in 2013 by “Alcohol Markets”). AWW Group gradually manages to bring back to the market alcohols that were forgotten yet are important for the history of Polish alcohols and flavours. The examples include vodka Żołąd- kowa, purchased from failed Polmos Łódź, and Ratafia, purchased from Polmos Sieradz. Fruit liquors in the AWW offer are produced on the basis of natural fruit-alcoholic semi-products and juices. In the company portfolio there are blended whisky – Charley’s, gin Charley’s and Highlander whisky offered as a private label product for retail chains.

One of the production plants is located near Kalisz in Niedźwiady. There are located: rectification plant, produc- tion line of dehydrated spirit and bioethanol, water treatment plant, bottling plant and ZESTAWIALNIA. The entire production plant in Niedźwiady produces ca. 17 thousand bottles per hour, of 100 and 200 ml and ca. 8 thousand bottles of bigger capacity, still not exploring the complete production capacity of the plant. Second largest, and hugely important plant, is located in Zbiersk. The place has a long tradition and history. It was founded in 1852 as a sugar factory. At the beginning, the company belonged to the German entrepreneur and in 1910 was taken over by the Polish Sugar Company. After the war, the factory was nationalised. In 2004, a private owner appeared, however, quickly declared business failure. In 2008, Wiesław Wawrzyniak purchased the ruined capital from the receiver and started to construct the plant from scratch. In 2009, a new distillery and rectification line were built along with the beginning of the rectified spirits‘ production. The production of biogas plant followed that investment. All the residues from the production process are used and transformed into semi-finished products that are then sold and used for biogas producing electricity and heating!

In the last three years, a new investment was made in Niedźwiady – a lagering cellar. Here, Polish malt whisky matures e.g. in French and Austrian wines barrels. AWW also purchased great supplies of aged, over 30-year-old and 18-year-old spirits, from the receiver of Polmos Józefów. This allows the company to compose an individual collec- tion of unique alcohols as Gorzałka Jubieluszowa and other products aimed for export. Part of the production is exported and AWW composes vodkas for companies from the US, Japan, Germany and other EU countries.
