Designated date of move-in: Thursday, August 29, 2019. Students must vacate the rooms by the following dates: Fall semester: Friday, January 31st, 2020. Spring semester: Friday, July 31st, 2020. [IMPORTANT] ※ Rooms are available from the designated arrival date. ※ Students can not extend the deadline for any reason. ※ Rooms are available during semester breaks for only students who study at KUIS for 2 semesters. However, please note that those students are asked to pay the room fees even if they do not stay in dorm during the semester breaks.

3. If you wish to send your own personal belongings to your accommodation from overseas, please make sure that the arcel will arrive after your check-in. Please DO NOT send parcels to the university as we are unable to keep them.

4. Fees and payment method [Dormitory ①Makuharihongo and ②Yatsu] Please complete the first payment (Entrance fee* and rent fee for April**) by designated payment method*** such as credit card and bank transfer. Payment deadline: Friday, July 12, 2019. *The first payment is non-refundableable. **Rent fee for August is free of charge. ***For the designated payment method, please see page 11 of this booklet. ****From 2019 Spring semester, room fee of the move out month will be fully charged no matter what date you move out. [Dormitory ⑧Dormy Kaihim-makuhari Please complete the first payment by bank transfer before your arrival. About 2-3 weeks after the application, the Kyoritsu International Foundation (KIF), the owner foundation of the Dormy Higashi-Funabashi, will contact you directly with the invoice by Email. To apply for this dorm, please submit two applications. First application should be sent through website and second application should be sent by Email. For the detail, please see P.12 of this file and PDF file “2019S_Housing for Exchange Student【B】” on the website.) *For the detail of the cancellation, please find the attached information. **The bill of the monthly payment will be sent to your dormitory mailbox around the 20th of each month. You can make a payment at the bank or convenience store with cash.

5. Accommodations ① and ② have a curfew. The curfew rule might be unfamiliar to some students, but this is important for students’ safety. Students are asked to respect this rule while staying at these accommodations. If students break the curfew or regulations, students will be asked to leave their dormitories immediately and find accommodation on their own.

6. If you wish to stay outside of the designated dormitories and apartments, please arrange your accommodation on your own. You will likely need a guarantor when renting an apartment in Japan. However, Kanda University is unable to act as a guarantor for privately-rented accommodations. Also you will need to arrange your own hotel while finding an accommodation.

・毎月の住居費（室料）は前の月に支払わなければなりません。

・日本にいる間は、以下の２つの方法から選んで支払いをしてください。 クレジットカードを持っている人は、初期費用と同じく、フライワイヤーを通じて支払うことができます。 ATM から銀行振込で支払う場合は、現金または日本の銀行口座のキャッシュカードで支払います。

・みなさんの来日後にそれぞれの方法について、学生課が説明書を配付し、支払い方を説明します。

・ Room fee must be paid in previous month.

・ While you are in Japan, Flywire is available only if you pay by credit card. If you do not have a credit card, you can pay by bank transfer from bank ATM in Japan with cash or with a bank cash card which is issued by bank when you open a bank account in Japan.

・ You will receive the payment instruction from Student Affairs Department upon your arrival.
