Abstract: ThebirdfaunaofTermessosNationalPark,insouth-centralabout37kmnorth-westofAntalyacitycentre,was studiedbetweenOctober1998andApril2000.

Inthestudyarea,113speciesofforestandmountainbirds,belongingto32families,wererecorded.Theirresidencestatusis as follows:50residents(R),40summer(S)and14wintervisitors(W),5vagrants(V)and4passagemigrants(Pm).

ToshowthenationalandinternationalimportanceofTermessosNationalPark,thenumbersofthreatenedbirdspeciesarecom- paredwiththeRedDataBookofTurkey(total51threatenedspecies:A.1.2=5,A.2=13,A.3=13,A.4=20)andtheClassifi- cationofSpeciesEuropeanConservationConcernSPEC(total72threatenedspecies:SPEC1=1,SPEC2=13,SPEC3=26,SPEC 4=32)categories.
