The Truth About Laser Hair Removal SPECIAL REPORT The Truth About Laser Hair Removal At last! You can quit shaving, stop tweezing, and finish fooling around with those messy depilatory creams! New breakthrough laser technology has made it possible to zap away unwanted hair quickly, easily and with proven long-term results. What would it mean to you if you never had to shave again? Or how great would it feel to never be embarrassed again by unsightly hair? Well it’s all possible. In fact, BodyLase Skin Spa has helped many people just like you get rid of unwanted hair. Many of who didn’t think anything would help. This special report will provide you with a great deal of information and education about all the facts you need before you do anything. So turn the page and let’s start... 1 Medical Breakthrough! New Laser Zaps Away Unwanted Hair, Quickly, Easily and Nearly Forever Dear Friend, Do you hate shaving? Are you sick and tired of putting up with painful waxing and tweezing? Or how about those messy depilatory creams and goops? Finally, there is a better way. Yes, it's really true... Now you can throw down your razor, drop your tweezers and throw out those messy creams and goops! New breakthrough laser technology can get rid of unwanted hair, quickly, easily and now with proven long-term results. And laser hair removal will work on almost any part of the body, from your legs, arms, and upper lips to even your back or shoulders, practically anywhere. See if this scene sounds familiar to you: * * * * * You're really late for work! "How did I not hear the alarm?" you ask yourself as you jump into the shower. This is going to be the 3rd time this month and your boss is really going to be steamed. Of all the days you overslept it had to be today. You've got that big meeting today with the Fergusson Account. Which means you've got to wear your best suit-jacket and you've got to shave. "That's just great," you think to yourself as you start lathering up your legs, "There isn't enough time to shave." With the water running down your back you have to contort yourself in every imaginable position to get a good shave and still keep warm. There's got to be a better way... 2 * * * * * Does that sound painfully familiar? Well, now imagine throwing away your razor for the summer! Or skipping all those painful visits to the salon for waxing (you're probably cringing just thinking about it right now). What's more, since the laser can treat lots of hair follicles at once you get much quicker (and more permanent) results than those other temporary fixes. In fact, laser hair removal is perhaps the greatest hair removal breakthrough in the last 50 years. And because laser hair removal is such an advancement, there's been a lot of unclear information given out. That's why inside this report, I want to help you separate the fact from fiction and the truth from fantasy. First, in order to understand how the laser works to remove unwanted hair, you've got to find out about hairs and hair growth. Human hairs are made up of three parts: the bulb at the base of the hair follicle (which produces hair), the shaft and the hair itself. The bulb and the shaft are embedded beneath the surface of the skin, therefore the hair is the only part visible to the naked eye. And in order to remove unwanted hair on a long-term basis it's necessary to destroy the hair follicle and its bulb. Maybe you've heard the myths that removing hair makes it grow back thicker and darker? Well, it won't. And removing hair also will not make it grow back faster. You see, every single hair follicle follows a cycle that includes growth, resting and shedding. Generally 90% of your hair is growing at any one time (called the Anagen stage). And the other 10% of your hair is resting (called the Telogen stage). At the end of the resting stage, the old hairs shed and new hair begins to grow again (Anagen stage). It is only during this growing phase that hair follicles can be disabled. 3 But before we explain all the details of how laser hair removal works, it’s important to objectively talk about the traditional options available to removing unwanted hair. There were essentially only 4 different choices (until now): 1) Shaving 2) Waxing and Tweezing (or Plucking) 3) Depilatory Creams 4) Electrolysis Let’s discuss option #1 -- shaving : Nearly everyone has a razor and that makes shaving the most common method of hair removal. But, shaving only lasts a few days (at the most) and requires you to make a constant commitment to keep doing it . Next is waxing and tweezing (or plucking). Both of these methods remove hair from the follicle bed, but they do not destroy the follicle itself. So that means you'll get hair regrowth. I probably don't have to tell you that most people find waxing and tweezing to be extremely painful ! What's more, waxing can cause allergic reactions, pimples and/or inflammation of the hair follicles. Another short-term method is using depilatory creams . This method takes a lot of time for the cream to fully dissolve the hair. Also, many people find the smell from these creams unpleasant. And if that wasn't enough -- the process is extremely messy . These first three options are all temporary methods of hair removal and the major problem is that all of them must be repeated on a regular basis . Now the fourth option is electrolysis (which until now has provided the only long-term method for eliminating unwanted hairs). During electrolysis, a needle is inserted and an electric current is passed into each and every hair follicle being treated. 4 Since each and every hair follicle requires separate treatment this is a very tedious process. You can expect to make multiple visits to the electrologist (treatments can take several months to years to complete ). Okay, So That Leads Us to The Most Practical, Least Painful and Most Effective Method Now Available To Remove Unwanted Hair... ...Laser Hair Removal ! And new laser technology beats these other dated methods hands down. Let us explain. One of the major benefits with lasers is the ability to treat a larger area of your skin at once. So it only takes a fraction of the time electrolysis would for the same area because you don't need to identify and probe each individual hair follicle. Rather, you treat many hairs at the same time. The Breakthrough Discovery That Changed Everything The laser has been designed to treat only the hair follicle while leaving the areas around it unaffected. And since the laser uses pulses of light to remove hair, there's no irritation to the skin (as with other hair removal methods we talked about). Here's How It Works The laser emits a gentle beam of light which only is absorbed by the hair follicle (leaving the skin unharmed). The laser delivers energy which is absorbed in the hair and transformed to heat. The heat destroys the hair follicle within a small fraction of a second. Here's the secret: The key to optimum results is being able to adjust the pulse width (the amount of time the laser is on) so that it can pass through the thin layer of skin to reach the deep hair follicles. That’s really all there is to it. 5 Okay, by now you probably have a few questions. So here are some of the most frequently asked questions I get : Q. Who Are The Best Candidates For Laser Hair Removal ? A. All individuals, fair or dark-skinned, young or old, are good candidates for laser hair removal. In the early days of laser hair removal, it was possible to treat only light skinned individuals. This was because the laser's light energy is absorbed by the pigment melanin, in the skin, people with greater contrast respond best. So individuals with dark hair and light colored skin got maximum results. In recent years, however, new laser technology has made it possible for other people (including dark complexions) to get excellent results. BodyLase uses the most advanced nd:yag lasers, which are specifically designed for darker skin types. Since BodyLase is a specialty laser center, we have multiple lasers for multiple skin tones. We can customize your treatment to match your skin type exactly to give you beautiful results! Q. What Areas Can Be Treated ? A. Laser hair removal is good for upper lips, underarms, bikini lines, legs, backs, shoulders, etc. Virtually anywhere that's covered with unwanted hair. Q. Does It Hurt ? A. Not really. As compared to the pain from waxing or electrolysis most people say their laser treatment was relatively pain-free. Many people describe the treatment as tingling or a slight snapping sensation. Usually, the majority of people can easily tolerate this sensation without any type of anesthetics. In fact, some of our lasers emit a cold spray during your laser treatment which further helps to cool and numb the treatment area. If you do feel any discomfort it's only while the area is being treated. Then after the procedure the area treated may become pink or red (like a mild sunburn) for a day or so. Also after leaving the office you will not need any bandages whatsoever because there is no damage to your skin.
