Blustery winds and sometimes ferocious gusts helped make the going tough for runners in the Tuhawaiki Jacks Point Fun Run on Sunday. More than 80 people took part in the second-ever run, turning their tenacity to the elements when the average wind speed tipped 39kmh. Event organiser Hayden Daw- son said entrants in the first run, last year, had to contend with heavy rain.
