When are nearest fitness classes held and where? Discovery at Shadow Creek Ranch offers free personal fitness classes for our residents with a certified instructor lead team. Should you need to find additional options away from the community, the closest option is listed below for your reference.

What are the hours of the amenities? Discovery at Shadow Creek Ranch offers the following amenities for you to enjoy:  24 hour fitness center with separate Cardio Room  Pool hours are 6:00AM to 10:00PM with free WIFI access.  Propane BBQ grills located in pool area along with charcoal BBQ grills located throughout courtyard areas.  Recreation Room is available from office opening hours to 11:00PM daily.

Where do I dispose of my trash? Discovery at Shadow Creek Ranch offers valet trash services, Sunday – Thursday from 6PM – 9PM. Should you need access to larger waste containers, they are located in five different locations on the community. These areas include near building 2, 6, 11, 12 and 13.

Where are the recycling centers? We pride ourselves on green initiatives to care for the environment. Discovery at Shadow Creek Ranch offers recycling along with the valet trash services, Sunday – Thursday between 6PM – 9PM for disposal of newspapers, plastics and glass.

What do I do with my move in boxes? It is helpful to everyone in the community if residents break down all boxes and disposes of them in the large waste container locations.

How does my fob/remote work? We have two enter/exit gates in front of the community. On the remote there are two buttons labeled “1” and “2”. Gate one opens by pressing “1” and gate two opens by pressing “2”. When accessing amenity areas, place the remote in front of black boxes near the entrance and this will grant you access.

Where are the mail boxes located? The mail boxes for your apartment home are located to the right of the leasing office, in front of the fitness center. For further, details or assistance in finding your mailbox, please contact the leasing office at 713.340.3100.

Do you have resident activities or events? Discovery at Shadow Creek Ranch has many fun events and activities that promote a sense of community and allow opportunity for you to meet other residents. Keep up to date on all of our community gatherings in our newsletter and through e-blasts. You can expect to see events such as: Fitness Classes with The Fitness OutFit team, Resident Happy Hours, Movie Night, Breakfast at the gate, etc.

Can I have a party at the pool? Our relaxing pool area is available for all residents and up to 2 guests to enjoy during business hours. To ensure enjoyment for all residents at the pool, we regretfully do not permit private pool parties.

Where is the best place for me to park? You may park in any available space throughout the community. As a reminder, handicap parking is patrolled by local law enforcement and is subject to maximum parking violation penalty. There are reserved parking options available for an additional monthly rate, please contact the leasing office for further information at 713.340.3100.

Conveniences

How do I pay rent online? We have made paying your rent easy by setting you up with your personal online account to Gables Gateway. You can go to www.gables.com and click on the Resident login key in the upper right hand corner. Select the link and follow the instructions to set up your account or contact the leasing office if this is your first time logging in. This is a great way to stay connected with your management team from anywhere in the world. Additional services available on Gables Gateway include placing a service request for repairs needed in your home.

How do I use Gables Connect? Changing your utilities to your new address can be stressful and time consuming, so by visiting www.gablesconnect.com or calling 1-866-914-0631, you can establish your new utility service for electric, phone, cable, internet, and secure renter’s insurance.

Where can I access WI-FI in the building? The pool at Discovery at Shadow Creek Ranch, along with the Fitness Center and Recreation Room are WI-FI accessible for your use and convenience. This amenity is complimentary and part of your community benefits. Contact the leasing office if you have any questions about using this service for the first time at 713.340.3100.

Where is the rent drop box? When you need to pay your rent after office hours, you may drop it off in the rent drop box located to the right of the front doors of the leasing office.

Do you have a courtesy officer onsite and how do I get a hold of them? We do have a courtesy officer that lives onsite. You may contact them by calling 713- 340-3100 and one of the team members in the office will contact them for you. The courtesy officer can assist with after-hours noise complaints. Should you ever witness suspicious or criminal activity, you should always call 911 to reach local law enforcement support.

Guests

Where can my guests park? Guests may park in any open parking spaces available throughout the property, as we have open parking. As a reminder to tell your guests that handicap parking is patrolled by local law enforcement and is subject to maximum parking violation penalty.

Where do my movers park? In the interest of safety and for other residents and emergency vehicles, your movers may park as close to your apartment inside the community. However, keep in mind that they should be aware of anyone needing to exit a garage or carport and not to block any pathways completely.

Where does the delivery person come in or do I have to meet them? Delivery services will need to use the guest call box to enter the gate to get to your apartment. You will receive a call on the phone line that you provide upon move in when your delivery person arrives. If you wish to permit entry, dial “9”. In the event you are not home at the time of delivery, the office can accept packages for you. However the office will not sign or be responsible for any packages.

How many guests can I have with me at the amenities? We love when you share your community with your friends and family to enjoy. Two guests are welcome to join you in all amenity areas. The Recreation Room is available for private bookings. Please contact the leasing office at 713.340.3100 to discuss rates for reservations and maximum seating.

How do I let friends in the gate? Your guests will contact you through the gate call box. You will receive a call on the phone line you provide upon move in when your guest dials the directory code from the gate phone pad. If the caller is someone you wish to permit entry, dial “9” on your phone’s keypad and the gate will open.

Maintenance

How do I submit service requests? We want it to be an easy process to place a service request for work needed in your apartment. You may contact the leasing office via phone at 713-340-3100, via email at [email protected], in person, or through Gables Gateway to submit your service request.

If you have not already signed up for Gables Gateway, you can contact the leasing office at 713.340.3100 and after being set up you will receive an email with log in instructions. This is a great way to stay connected to your management team from anywhere in the world. Additional services available on Gables Gateway include paying your rent on line.

What do I do if I have a Maintenance emergency after hours? For those times you may have an emergency after office hours, you may contact the leasing office at 713-340-3100 for maintenance assistance. The answering service will dispatch your service your service emergency to the on call service technician. You should receive a call from the technician within the hour.

What is considered a maintenance emergency? Emergency maintenance problems that will be dispatched to the on-call service technician include:

1. No electricity throughout the apartment 2. No water. 3. No air conditioning on a day of extreme heat (80+ degrees). 4. Water entering the apartment. 5. Possibility of fire. 6. Impeded plumbing in an apartment with only one bathroom. 7. No heat. 8. Non-functioning or malfunctioning smoke detector. 9. Gas leak (also call the gas company). 10. Running water that cannot be shut off. 11. Malfunctioning door or window locks.

Furry Friends

Do you have a dog park? At Discovery at Shadow Creek Ranch, we do have a dog park and walking trail towards the back of our community. It is located behind garages 28 & 29, behind building 3. The dog park is fully fenced and also has pet stations for your convenience.

Where is the best place to walk my pet? The green areas around the property are appropriate to walk your pets, as is the onsite dog park. Please help us to maintain a clean and pleasant community by always picking up after your pets. There are many doggie stations surrounding the community.

Do I have to have my dog on a leash? For the safety of your dog and all residents in the community, all pets are required to be on a leash when in any common area. It’s the law and the best practice for your pet’s safety.
