Experience. Education. Exploration. Summer Institute Queen’s University Political Studies Experience. Education. Exploration. Summer Institute There are two educational sessions a day with field trips throughout the two week program. Morning sessions will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and afternoon sessions will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the week and will be catered when students are on a field trip. With the exception of the first Sunday, students will be will be responsible for their own dinners. The cost of all educational field trips is included in the total cost of the program fee. Sight seeing during free time periods will be at the student’s own expense. The program itinerary is subject to change. Premier Doug Ford downplays rumours of a summer shuffle swirling around Queen's Park — ​ ​ but he didn't rule it out. Today at Queen’s Park On the schedule The house is adjourned until Monday, September 14. The legislature went out with a bang a day earlier than expected, but not with more support for schools or long-term care, NDP Leader Andrea Horwath charged. She called the summer ​ ​ session a "missed opportunity" and said she was "extremely disappointed" with the PCs. At the premier's daily briefing, house leader Paul Calandra gave a highlight reel of the summer ​ ​ session and a shout-out to members on all sides of the aisle for agreeing to expedite government business during the state of emergency — which expires tomorrow. That said, it appears the end of the emergency may also be the end of the cross-partisan camaraderie; the opposition parties told Queen's Park Today they were caught off guard by the ​ ​ early end to the session, and Horwath said it's been months since Calandra met with the NDP. In the park Parents rallied for a safe back-to-school plan on the south lawn. Inside the legislature, Premier Doug Ford mused about outdoor classrooms in September, ​ ​ saying he recently spoke with an unspecified teacher and school board trustee who are on the same page. "The big highlight when I was going to school, the teacher would say, OK guys, we're going to have a class outside underneath the tree," Ford told reporters.

It was scribed and understood well that voters wanted to see the Wynne government gone – and they’re gone -big time! What surprised political pundits, media and voters for that matter was the actions of Premier Kathleen Wynne prior to Election Day and K&A unwittingly got involved in the Liberal Party’s activities specifically the author of this report. As we all know now, on the Saturday, six days before Election Day, like many who follow politics -my phone lit up with well over two hundred calls, emails and texts from colleagues and friends across the province wanting my take on Liberal Party Leader and Premier Kathleen Wynne’s strange announcement that she would concede the election – a full 6 days before election day. Normally I would have stayed out of this, chalking it up to how her campaign was going anyway- terribly- save and except for the fact that so many people contacted me for reaction and because I was upset, I obliged. Not because I care about the Liberal Party or its leader, but because of the sheer contempt her actions demonstrated to voters, volunteers and media. It has recently switched its focus from assisting all youth towards assisting NEET youth (neither in employment, education or training), as is demonstrated in the current youth employment policy Youth Job Connection (YJC), which began in the fall of 2015. This MRP situates YJC as part of a broader trend away from designing youth policy as an explicit form of social control to a seemingly more positive approach of youth development.
