How will we get around? What transportation choices will be available for the next generation? These are the questions the Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) seeks to answer as they update their Strategic Mobility Plan, the 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). The Chamber wants to ensure the business community is well-represented in this process.

The MPO, created by state and federal laws, is the regional planning organization charged with providing a process for local governments within the region to coordinate with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Caitlyn was born in Bradenton and raised in Wesley Chapel. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from USF and is currently working on her MBA. She is passionate about contributing to the wellbeing of the community and especially enjoys volunteering with PACE Center for Girls. In her spare time she owns and operates her own small business, STAR Academy of Dance and Aerial Art, and teaches and performs throughout the Tampa Bay region.
