2001 Arizona State Outdoor Schedule ASU Hosts Baldy Castillo Invitational March 22-24 March 3 Bill Sawyer Invitational Sun Angel Stadium This Week -- March 23-24 Baldy Castillo Invitational In the biggest home meet of the year, Arizona State track and field welcomes over 600 Sun Angel Stadium athletes from 14 schools across the country, as the Sun Devils host the Fifth Annual March 31 Arizona State Invitational Baldy Castillo Invitational, Thursday, March 22 through Saturday, March 24 at Joe Sun Angel Stadium Sellah Track at Sun Angel Stadium. The three-day affair includes a two-day decath- March 31 San Diego Invitational lon and competition, along with a distance carnival. Thursday, the first day San Diego, Calif. of heptathlon competition begins at noon, while the gets underway at 1 p.m. M. 31-A. 1 Stanford Invitational Friday will be a packed day of events at Sun Angel Stadium, as the men’s hammer Stanford, Calif. kicks off field event competition at 9 a.m., while the second day of the decathlon and April 6-7 Texas Relays heptathlon resume at noon and 1 p.m., respectively. Last year MacDonald set the school record in the event with a time of 16:13.41. Adrienne Judie came away with her first career All-America honors, placing fourth with personal-best mark of 66 feet, 10 inches in the women’s weight-throw. Judie also improved upon her already exist- ing school record in the event by two inches, and was 1.5 inches behind the third-place ASU Media Information mark by Clemson’s Jamine Moton. Senior Jen Bridgeman won the women’s 800 in 2:12.20, while freshman Jen Hurbis clocked a winning time of 4:48.50 in the women’s 1500.
