Return to the hotel for breakfast and retun later in the morning to the magnificent Taj Mahal, undoubtedly one of the most romantic buildings in the world. Renowned for its architectural magnificence and aesthetic beauty, it counts among mans proudest creations in celebration of love. Also a visit to the historical Agra Fort. The fort is a “city within a City”, it embraces the Moti Masjid, the Hall of Public Audiences, the Hall of Private Audiences, the Octagonal Tower, Jahangir’s Palace and many more monuments and gardens. Miniatures painted on the walls depict hunting and war scenes, apart from festivals. Precious stones and mirrors are embedded into the plaster. En route to Amber Fort, you will have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal - the Palace of Winds. Evening free for leisure activities. Overnight at SHAPHURA HOUSE. Fri 08 Nov: JAIPUR After breakfast city tour of Jaipur which begins with a visit to the Maharaja's City Palace. Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. Situated near the gate of the city palace, the observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition. Highlight dinner at the delightful BAR PALLADIO in the Bhaj Niwan Palace. In the morning transfer to the airport to board the flight for spirtual Varanasi. After arrival at Varanasi transfer to the hotel. (Check-in: 1400 hrs.) Evening enjoy the Festival Dev Deepawali at the bank of the Ganges river. Dev Deepawali is a famous Utsav celebrated every year at the holy city Varanasi. Dev Deepawali, which is also spelled Dev Diwali, is celebrated to mark the victory of Lord Shiva over demon Tripurasur. Hence Dev Deepawali Utsav is also known as Tripurotsav which is observed on the auspicious day of Kartik Purnima. On Dev Deepawali, devotees take a holy dip in Ganges on the auspicious day of Kartik Purnima and light earthen lamps or Diya(s) in the evening. When the dusk sets, the steps of all the Ghats on the riverfront of the Ganges are lit with millions of earthen lamps. Not only the Ghats of Ganges but also all temples of Benares are lit with millions of Diya(s). Overnight at the 4 * RADISSON BLU Hotel. Mon 11 Nov: VARANASI Breakfast at the hotel. Morning free for leisure activities. Evening Enjoy the Festival Dev Deepawali at the Bank of river Ganges – magic! Overnight at the hotel. Tue 12 Nov: VARANASI This morning an early start for a dawn boat ride on the Ganges River. Ritual is a very important aspect of Hinduism and there is no better place to observe it than at the Ganges. You will view the thread ceremony, head shaving and food being offered to the departing souls. A walk through narrow twisting lanes will give you a chance to witness the various rituals of the pilgrims and followed by city tour including Bharat Mata Temple, Shanta Durga Temple and Banaras Hindu University. Drive back to the hotel for breakfast. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath (9 kms). This is where the Buddha preached his first sermon after getting enlightenment. Overnight at the RADISON BLU hotel.
