El Área de Deportes del Cabildo de Lanzarote informa, que durante la prueba deportiva Ironman Lanzarote 2021, que comienza el sábado 3 de julio de a las 07’00 horas, están previstos algunos cortes de carretera en distintos puntos de la isla en cumplimiento de la normativa existente de tráfico para pruebas deportivas, al mismo tiempo que aumenta la seguridad de los deportistas participantes en esta edición. Esta prueba deportiva es la mas importante de las que se celebran en la isla de Lanzarote a lo largo del año, tanto por su dureza como por su trascendencia internacional. Cada triatleta ha de enfrentarse a 3’8 kilómetros de natación, 180’2 kilómetros de bicicleta y 42’2 kilómetros de marathon. Para mayor comodi- dad de los competidores y disminuir las molestias a los usuarios de las vías, se señalizarán y balizarán los tramos mas concurridos, así como se establecerán restricciones de circulación en puntos concretos, durante las horarios de corte establecidos por la organización, en función de la previsión de paso de los competidores. Desde la organización se recomienda tener en cuenta los carteles informativos previos al evento, así como programar los trayectos y destinos con la mayor previsión, a efectos de evitar retenciones. - Tias. ( Puerto del Carmen). Estará afectada la Avenida de las Playas, desde el jueves día 1 de julio, en el tramo desde el Hotel Jameos hasta el hotel Los Fariones, con determinados cortes. El sábado 3 de julio, permanecerá cerrada desde las 06’00 horas hasta las 01’00 del domingo. Las entradas y salidas de Puerto del Carmen se realizarán por las LZ 505 (Tias) y LZ 504 (Macher). - Yaiza. (Playa Blanca). Las salidas desde Playa Blanca serán por Femes LZ 702, para el tráfico en general y por la vía de servicios para las guaguas y los residentes en Yaiza y El Golfo. La entrada a Playa Blanca, Yaiza, , El Golfo y Las Breñas será por Femés, LZ 702, exepto las guaguas y vehículos pesados, que realizarán un by pass por el interior de Yaiza y la via de servicios hasta Playa Blanca. -Parque Nacional de Timanfaya. Estará cerrado al tráfico desde las 08’00 horas hasta las 13’30 horas. - Tinajo. Tendrá cerrado el tráfico en la LZ 56, (Tinguatón – La Geria), desde las 08’30 horas a las 18’30 horas. Se advierte que pueden producirse retenciones de tráfico en el Monumento al Campesino. - Teguise. Tendrá el tráfico cortado en la LZ30, (Mozaga - La Villa) y LZ 10 (La Villa – Haría). El núcleo de La Villa tendrá su salida y entrada, controlada por agentes o auxiliares, en la LZ30, a la altura del cruce entre el Majuelo y la carretera del Cementerio. - Haría. Tendrá cortada al tráfico las carreteras LZ 10 (Haría – Los Valles), las LZ 201 y LZ 202, (Haría – Mi- rador del Rio) y LZ 203, (Mirador del Rio – Arrieta), donde habrá un paso controlado por auxiliares, en la LZ1 entre Arrieta y Mala, pudiendo producirse retenciones en este punto. Poleo3 ABSTRACT For the Canary Islands, the sea is a path of obligatory use and on whose depend- ence the economic development of the inhabitants of the Archipelago, has been based.The problems of inter-insular maritime transport has been, and continues to be, a constant and growing worry up to the present moment, given the almost zero cargo capacity of the aeroplanes that render their services in the islands. The boats that connect the islands have changed throughout the years, and these changes have been conditioned, in great part, by the special circumstances surrounding navigation in our waters: islands situated in open sea, exposed to all types of weather; particular meteorological conditions; swell; port infrastruc- tures, etc. These circumstances have made the islands be a true bank of trials for the main types of HSC: hydrofoils, air cushion vehicles, high-speed mono-hull crafts, SES, jet-foils and catamarans, all which have navigated and run different luck. Today, there are three companies operating high speed crafts in the islands: Fred Olsen with five big catamarans, Trasmediterránea with two jet-foils and Garajonay Express with two smaller catamarans.     mar.12.059 06/03/12 La Oliva, Yaiza, Adeje, Arona y Pájara, entre los núcleos turísticos más rentables en 2011 Los municipios de La Oliva y Pájara (Fuerteventura), Adeje y Arona (Tenerife) y Yaiza (Lanzarote) se encuentran entre los más rentables de España, según ha señalado este martes el vicepresidente ejecutivo de la Alianza para la Excelencia Turística, Exceltur, José Luis Zoreda. El turismo continúa siendo “fuente de generación” de trabajo en España con la creación en 2011 de un total de 9.932 nuevos empleos, lo que supone un 2,2% más respecto a 2010 en los 105 destinos turísticos más relevantes de la geografía española. En el marco de la presentación del ‘Barómetro de rentabilidad y empleo de los 105 principales destinos turísticos españoles’, Zoreda detalló que los destinos vacacionales, que registraron un crecimiento de los ingresos por habitación disponible –RevPar– del 11,5%, se comportaron mejor que los urbanos, con un aumento del RevPar del 4%, básicamente por la redirección de extranjeros dada la inestabilidad del mediterráneo oriental. Desde Exceltur se considera que el mayor crecimiento de los ingresos frente al empleo demuestra la enorme incertidumbre sobre la consistencia y continuidad del repunte de demanda, así como la dificultad de generar empleo sostenido en 2011, dada la rigidez laboral aún imperante en ese año. Por ello Zoreda asegura que la organización ha recibido “con satisfacción” las medidas de la reforma laboral que afectan al sector. “Confiamos que los ajustes pendientes que se incorporen en la tramitación parlamentaria puedan crear o, cuanto menos, mantener el empleo turístico en un año complejo como 2012 ″, resaltó.

Conducting long-term hazard assessment in active volcanic areas is of primordial importance 14 for land-use planning and to define emergency plans able to be applied in case of a crisis. Definition of 15 scenario hazard maps helps to mitigate the consequences of future eruptions by anticipating to the events 16 that may occur. Lanzarote is an active volcanic island that has hosted the largest (>1.5 km3 DRE) and 17 longest (6 years) eruption, the Timanfaya eruption (1730-36), on the Canary Islands in historical times 18 (last 600 years). This eruption brought severe economic losses and forced local people to migrate. In spite 19 of all these facts, no comprehensive hazard assessment neither hazard maps have been developed for the 20 island. In this work, we present an integrated long-term volcanic hazard evaluation using a systematic 21 methodology that includes spatial analysis and simulations of the most probable expected eruptive scenar- 22 ios. 23 24 1 Introduction 25 26 Active volcanic areas require conducting long-term hazard assessment in order to ensure a rational land 27 planning and to elaborate precise emergency plans that can be applied in case of a crisis.

    ADDITIONS TO THE HETEROPTERA-FAUNA OF THE CANARY ISLANDS 1 By E. HEISS & J. RIBES ** ABSTRACT: The present paper is a first addition to tbe preliminary cataloguo Jf the Heteropteru-fauna of the Canary Islands (HEISS & BAEZ.1990) and includes corrections, new taxonomic assignmcnts and further citations from literature and several new records. 29 species are reported as new to the Canarian fauna, but one species is a synonym (Geocoris pvbescens Jak. = G.timidus Put.) and 8 spccies are regarded as doubtíidspccies inquirenda which should be deleted from the list. This brings the total number of species known to date from Canary Islands to 333. Key words: Heteropteru, catalogue, new additions, Canary Islands RESUMEN: La presente aportación es una primera addenda al catálogo preliminar de los Heterópferos des las islas Canarias (HEISS & BAEZ, 1990). Incluye enmiendas, nuevos cambios taxonómicos, datos complementarios y numerosas citas inéditas. Todo ello se desglosa en cuatro secciones distintas dentro del segundo capítulo: referencias adicionales y cambios en la literatura, citas canarias nuevas, citas isleñas nuevas y specics inquirenda. De este acervo hay que entresacar 29 especies para incorporar a la fauna canaria, con relación a lar 3 13 inventariadas, pero una es una sinonimia (Geocoris pvbescem lak. = G.rimidus Put.) y 8 especies más se consideran dudosas, por lo que se eliminan de la lista, quedando pues un total de 333 especies que se estiman válidas.     Papeles de Geografía ISSN: 0213-1781 2006, 44; pp. 39-57 URBANISMO Y CRECIMIENTO TURÍSTICO EN LANZAROTE DURANTE LA SEGUNDA MITAD DEL SIGLO XX Alejandro González Morales* Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria RESUMEN En este trabajo analizamos las diferentes etapas por las que ha pasado el desarrollo turís- tico de la isla de Lanzarote. Se distinguen tres periodos de características diferenciadas. El primero, antes de los años setenta, supone el desarrollo de una incipiente industria turística, donde predominan el capital belga y francés; el segundo es un periodo que abarca desde 1973 hasta 1983, en estos 10 años la isla experimenta un cambio sustancial, el capital alemán se vuelve hegemónico y se desarrolla con fuerza el denominado turismo de masas, sobre todo en el municipio de Tías (Puerto del Carmen); por último a partir de principios de los ochenta nos encontramos con una etapa de similares características que la anterior hasta 1995, con un gran desarrollo de Yaiza y Teguise, a partir de esta fecha y hasta la actualidad se introducen los valores de sostenibilidad, aunque sin demasiado éxito, pues se sigue construyendo mucho y no de precisamente alta calidad.     VERSIÓN INGLESA ENGLISH VERSION 1939-1992: Context of César Manrique’s work María Dolores Jiménez-Blanco To speak of the historical context of César Manrique’s oeuvre is to invoke Spanish art of the 147 second half of the twentieth century, to review events between two clearly symbolic dates in the history of Spanish culture. On one extreme, 1939, the year of the bitter end of the civil war and the beginning of autarchy, also marks the starting point of César Manrique’s artistic career. The other, 1992, the year of the World Exhibition in Seville and the Barcelona Olympic Games, hailed as the culmination of the internationalisation of Spanish cultural and social reality, coincided with he artist’s sudden death. But the context of César Manrique’s oeuvre is somewhat more complicated because in his work, as in his life, there are three parallel, inseparable and overlapping references: the Canary Island, Spanish and international domains, with one or another playing the preponderant role depending on the year, the circumstances and the artist’s plastic needs. Post-war years César Manrique decided to be a painter at one of the most difficult moments in contemporary Spanish history: the year 1939.The end of the civil war, with the victory of the Franco band, was also a point of no return in many other ways. In the local environment in the Canary Islands, after the blossoming of the avant-garde in the thirties around Gaceta de Arte initiatives and the presence of a group of surrealist artists, the advent of the forties brought the “surrender of artistic modernity”1.
