With new World Rally Championship (WRC) regulations, it was a challenging 12 months that provided some of the most thrilling competition of the modern era. Our new car, the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC, was a winning package on every surface and kept audiences transfixed on a championship battle that went all the way to the penultimate round… In 2017, we also branched out with our Customer Racing initiatives and welcomed a new circuit racer to our car line- up. ŠKODA MOTORSPORT PRESS RELEASE Page 1 of 4 ADAC Rallye Deutschland: Jan Kopecký and Pavel Dresler conquer lead for ŠKODA in WRC 2 Pro › Despite suffering from a puncture on their ŠKODA FABIA R5 evo, last year’s WRC 2 winners Jan Kopecký/Pavel Dresler head the category at ADAC Rallye Deutschland › ŠKODA teammates Kalle Rovanperä and co-driver Jonne Halttunen slipped of the road and dropped from the lead to third position in the WRC 2 Pro category › Enjoying their first rally with the new ŠKODA FABIA R5 evo, Fabian Kreim and Marijan Griebel hold first and second position in the WRC 2 category for private teams Bosen, 24 August 2019 – Recently crowned Czech Rally champions Jan Kopecký/Pavel Dresler (CZE/CZE) moved into the lead of the WRC 2 Pro category during the third day of ADAC Rallye Deutschland (22/08/–25/08/2019), tenth round of the FIA World Rally Championship 2019. Their teammates Kalle Rovanperä/Jonne Halttunen (FIN/FIN) encountered bad luck, when they slipped off the road during the first special stage of the day and dropped from the category lead to third position. In the WRC 2 category for private teams, German ŠKODA crews Fabian Kreim/Tobias Braun and Marijan Griebel/Pirmin Winklhofer hold a double lead going into the last day of the rally. On Saturday, with eight special stages totalling 157.92 kilometres, the longest day of the ADAC Rallye Deutschland, tenth round of the FIA World Rally Championship, was waiting for the crews. After four fast morning stages on small roads in the Saarland and the Rhineland Palatinate Region, the gruelling military area of Baumholder had to be mastered. -

2021 MEDIA GUIDE Arctic Rally Finland February 26 - 28, 2021 ROUND 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 Arctic Rally Finland February 26 - 28, 2021 HYUNDAI’S HELLO Given the freezing temperatures outside, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Arctic Rally Finland and for the first of what we hope will be two visits by the WRC and Hyundai Motorsport to the country in 2021. Before I underline the team’s hopes and expectations for this event, I wish to acknowledge all the hard work that’s gone into putting on this rally in such a short amount of time. The efforts of AKK Sports and all the volunteers, particularly in the context of COVID-19, has really impressed me so a big thank you to them. It’s fair to say we showed our limits on Rallye Monte-Carlo and found ourselves licking our wounds and trying to get ahead. Unfortunately, it didn’t work there and after making some changes to our approach we start the second round of the season hoping it will be much better than the first. Having wished a fond farewell to Carlos del Barrio after Monte as he prepared for the next chapter of his career, we are pleased to welcome back Craig and Paul for the start of their half-season campaign in a Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. We know very well their ability and determination as they try to make a strong start to their season. As well as our regular World Rally Car drivers, we are giving a big chance to a really promising youngster, Oliver Solberg. -

Press Release 22 February, 2021 Rally Japan Administrative Office First key visual for Rally Japan 2021 is unveiled Rally Japan Administrative Office announces completion of its first key visual for Rally Japan 2021, the Japanese round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) held in Aichi and Gifu Prefectures this November, and unveils it today. Illustrated by Ryuji Shishido, the straight lines drawn on the bottom-right represent tarmac roads used for Rally Japan, while the white curved shape portrays smoke generated by tires and road surface when World Rally cars drive aggressively. Also, as the event will take place in November, the autumn colours and landscape of mountain areas in Japan have been adopted as the concept of the background. With some retro atmosphere focusing on the long history of WRC, the details in this rally car drawing has a modern look. FACTBOOK 2019 WRC FACTBOOK 2019 / PROGRADE PHOTO OF THE YEAR WRC FACTBOOK 2019 / INTRO WRC FACTBOOK 2019 The 2018 WRC season will be remembered as the most exciting and dramatic in a generation. It is 15 years since a drivers’ title fight of similar magnitude and a compelling season-long battle involving three drivers was finally resolved on the last morning of the season in Australia. It was a similar story in the manufacturers’ championship. All four teams won rallies and three made the long journey Down Under still with an opportunity to claim the crown. Following a similarly enthralling and unpredictable 2017 cam- paign, when new-era World Rally Cars headlined a raft of major changes to the championship, it is clear our sport is in the midst of an unforgettable period in its history. Away from the close competition, the WRC has grown in stature. The year opened with a major launch at Birmingham’s Autosport International show and finished with a glamorous end of season gala in Sydney and with the cars showcased once more in front of Milan’s iconic cathedral in the Piazza del Duomo. Our pioneering WRC+ All Live channel revolutionised the way in which fans could enjoy the sport as it happened. Every special stage from each round was streamed live, featuring stunning onboard and helicopter footage. It was supplemented by expert analysis and reactions from across the service park – adding up to more than 325 hours of live coverage. Our traditional TV coverage thrived too. The WRC’s global audi- ence and the number of broadcast hours continue their positive trend of the last years. -
