Morgan Kibby Soloed Internationally with Orchestra, and Performed with the San Francisco Opera and Marin Theater Company Throughout Her Youth Morgan Grace Kibby Biography A classical pianist, cellist and vocalist, Morgan Kibby soloed internationally with orchestra, and performed with the San Francisco Opera and Marin Theater Company throughout her youth. Upon completing her trilingual education at the Lycée Français and starring in several television shows for major networks throughout her teens, she shifted course and joined french band M83 as a writer, lyricist, vocalist, instrumentalist and member of their touring band. Two album cycles over 7 years culminated in her first platinum single with “Midnight City”, her first Grammy nomination and headlining a sold out evening at the Hollywood Bowl. Kibby has co-written on Grammy nominated and number 1 albums for Panic! at the Disco, produced, written and recorded solo material under the moniker White Sea, remixed over 25 tracks from Lorde to The Weeknd, and produced and co-written for dozens of international artists over the last decade. Her first foray into composition for film and television in 2015 premiered to critical acclaim in the Platform competition series at TIFF, and was awarded Best Original Score at Les Arcs European Film Festival that same year. Kibby subsequently applied and was chosen to attend the prestigious 2016 Sundance Composer Lab at the iconic Skywalker Ranch. She has gone on to score projects for major networks including Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, the CW, as well as films that have premiered at major international film festivals including the 2018 official selection at Cannes. 2020 projects include production on Harry Style’s “Fine Line”, contributing score to Season 2 of Amazon’s “Hanna”, writing, arranging and producing orchestral pieces “Chromatica I, II & III” on Lady Gaga’s May album release, and scoring the upcoming Netflix series “Grand Army”. In July she was honored with her first BMI Pop Award, and is currently in pre-production on the period drama “Mothering Sunday” starring Olivia Coleman and Colin Firth. .

! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Official Site | Facebook! | Twitter “On the last album, there was too much of me.” That’s how Anthony Gonzalez – the sonic auteur behind the sub- lime sound of M83 – describes the primary inspiration for his forthcoming album JUNK, to be released on April 8, 2016 by Mute. Highly anticipated, JUNK is not just M83’s first studio album in half a decade; it’s also the fol- low-up to Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming – which, upon release in 2011, placed M83 in the direct current of the mainstream. Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming gained acclaim as Gonzalez’s masterpiece summation of all the ele- ments and influences of his epic space-age future pop. It would also become the record that cemented M83’s mainstream breakout, driven by the global hit single “Midnight City.” Other standout tracks like “Outro” and “Wait” from Hurry Up… also became pop-culturally ubiquitous, taking on a life of their own as musical accompa- niment for numerous TV shows and Hollywood blockbuster trailers. So why would Gonzalez try to remove himself from the follow-up to such a creative and commercial success? And furthermore supplant himself on JUNK with the surprising likes of Beck and Steve Vai. Wait, Steve Vai? The legendary virtuoso guitar hero who defined an era? On an M83 album? in 2016?! With Beck, too? Read on… On both Hurry Up… and the two years of triumphant world touring that followed it, Gonzalez served as M83’s musical architect and songwriter, but also its front man and primary vocalist – a role which he grew to find limit- ing.

Ṣ Publicity Contact: Sales Contact: The DDA Group Rocket Science [email protected] [email protected] 1 Synopsis On a warm spring day in 1924, house maid and foundling Jane Fairchild (Odessa Young) finds herself alone on Mother’s Day. Her employers, Mr and Mrs Niven (Colin Firth and Olivia Colman), are out and she has the rare chance to spend quality time with her secret lover, Paul (Josh O’Connor), the boy from the manor house nearby who is Jane’s long-term love despite the fact that he’s engaged to be married to another woman, a childhood friend and daughter of his parents’ friends. But events that neither can foresee will change the course of Jane’s life forever. A Statement from Director Eva Husson The Mothering Sunday script fell on my lap like a little spark of pure energy visiting me from a galaxy, far, far away. I was working on a TV show, when I got an email from my agent – she knew I was drowning in work, but she said to me; “Read this. You have to. You’ll understand why.” I read the script in one day, in fragments of 5 or 10 minutes, I always made sure I went back to it because I realised I had to. I finished the script in tears. Mothering Sunday seemed to have, somehow, found its way to me, and there it was, this wonderful screenplay, speaking to me, playing a frequency that opened me up like only the most honest works of art do.

m83 hurry up we're dreaming full album free download Hurry Up, We're Dreaming. M83's lush, expansive sound already made their albums feel twice as big as they were, so an actual double album from Anthony Gonzalez and company was inevitable. However, on Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, he doesn’t use that extra space to top the widescreen nostalgia of Saturdays = Youth; instead, he fills it with songs that cover more sounds and moods than any of M83's previous work, resulting in impressionistic moments that add up to a grand statement. The album begins with two songs that reaffirm Gonzalez's flair for the unapologetically epic. He recruits Zola Jesus for "Intro," and her unusual mix of frostbitten edge and vulnerable warmth is a perfect conduit for the huge emotions Gonzalez favors. With its sleek neon tones, "Midnight City" shows just how far he's traveled from Saturdays = Youth's ornate sound. He goes even farther afield with the tender piano instrumental "Where the Boats Go"; "Raconte-Moi Un Histoire," where a child imagines a world where everyone turns into jungle frogs over bouncy synths and guitars; and "Soon, My Friend," which ends the album's first half with symphonic grandeur and Beach Boys harmonies. On its second half, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming sounds more traditionally M83, from the triumphant yet heartbroken "My Tears Are Becoming a Sea" to the thrilling rush of "New Map" and "Steve McQueen." Despite the album's sprawl, Gonzalez holds everything together with wide-eyed enthusiasm. He handles most of the vocals here, singing with a yelp that evokes Howard Jones on "Reunion" and "OK Pal" -- and while this album is as indebted to the '80s as his previous album was, it somehow feels less steeped in nostalgia.

  • Recensie: M83 | Les Ardentes 2012****

Stuart Rosen Senior Vice President General Counsel November 20, 2015 Chief, Litigation III Section Antitrust Division U.S. Department of Justice 450 5th Street NW, Suite 4000 Washington, DC 20001 Re: Justice Department Review of the BMI and ASCAP Consent Decrees To the Chief of the Litigation III Section: BMI recently alerted its community of affiliated songwriters, composers and publishers to the profound impact 100% licensing would have on their careers, both creatively and financially, if it were to be mandated by the U.S. Department of Justice. In a call to action, BMI provided a letter, one for songwriters and one for publishers, to which their signatures could be added. The response was overwhelming. BMI received nearly 13,000 signatures from writers, composers and publishers of all genres of music, at all levels in their careers. Some of the industry's most well- known songwriters added their names, including Stephen Stills, Cynthia Weil, Steve Cropper, Ester Dean, Dean Pitchford, Congressman John Hall, Trini Lopez, John Cafferty, Gunnar Nelson, Lori McKenna, Shannon Rubicam and Don Brewer, among many others. Enclosed you will find the letters, with signatures attached. On behalf of BMI, I strongly urge you to consider the voices of thousands of songwriters and copyright owners reflected here before making a decision that will adversely affect both the creators, and the ongoing creation of, one ofAmerica's most important cultural and economic resources.
