CAREER SUMMARY:
Adi Maryono is currently VP Exploration at J Resources with over 30 years of diverse experiences in Au-Cu exploration (BHP, Newmont, Intrepid Mines and J Resources). He was part of the discovery teams at Reko Dig in Pakistan (porphyry Cu-Au); Tombulilato in Indonesia (epithermal Au-Ag), Elang in Indonesia (porphyry Cu-Au); Tujuh Bukit/Tumpangpitu in Indonesia (porphyry Cu-Au and high sulfidation epithermal Au-Ag deposits) and other smaller gold deposits in Indonesia and Australia.
He holds a BSc in Geology from the University of Gadjah Mada Indonesia (1990), an MSc in Mineral Exploration from the Queen’s University Canada (1996) and is actively associated with a number of professional organizations: SEG, AusIMM, AIG, IAGI (the Indonesian Association of Geologists), MGEI (the Indonesian Society of Economic Geologists) and Perhapi (the Association of mining professionals). Currently he is the chairman of the Indonesian KCMI IAGI-Perhapi (the Joint mineral reserve committee), the secretary of the IAGI Ethics Committee and member of the advisory board of MGEI.
As a senior adjunct researcher at CODES-University of Tasmania Australia (UTAS), Adi regularly leads field trips in Indonesia for SEG, IAGI-MGEI and CODES-UTAS. His research focus is in magmatic Au-Cu systems in particular along the Sunda and other arcs in Indonesia. He is also a guest lecturer in economic geology at Geology UGM Jogjakarta.
