TRABAJO FINAL DE GRADO EN TRADUCCIÓN E INTERPRETACIÓN TREBALL FINAL DE GRAU EN TRADUCCIÓ I INTERPRETACIÓ Departament de Traducció i Comunicació TÍTULO / TÍTOL La traducción del humor en el doblaje de la serie Modern Family : Las lenguas de Gloria Autor/a: Javier Nadal Soria Tutor/a: Dr. Frederic Chaume Varela Fecha de lectura/ Data de lectura: junio 2015 1 Resumen/ Resum: El humor, la variación lingüística y el plurilingüismo constituyen tres problemas de traducción cada vez más presentes en las obras de ficción audiovisual. El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado ofrece una reflexión teórica sobre el humor, la variación lingüística y el plurilingüismo en la traducción audiovisual, una revisión bibliográfica sobre la opinión de diversos autores acerca de dichos temas y una clasificación del humor asociado a la variación lingüística y al plurilingüismo a partir de los datos obtenidos en tres temporadas de la sitcom norteamericana Modern Family (Christopher Lloyd y Steven Levitan) y en las correspondientes versiones dobladas al español peninsular. En la serie, Sofía Vergara interpreta a Gloria, una mujer de origen colombiano que convive con una familia de norteamericanos en California y utiliza tanto su español materno como el inglés en el desarrollo de la trama. Gran parte de la carga humorística de este personaje reside en su cualidad de persona políglota y, a la vez, en su baja competencia en la lengua inglesa. A partir del estudio de su traducción para el doblaje, este trabajo presenta una clasificación del humor que se observa en el doblaje al español peninsular de los fragmentos en los que el humor depende de la variación lingüística o del plurilingüismo.
