RYOICHI NAKAGAWA, retired executive managing director, Nissan Motor Company, Ltd., died in Tokyo, Japan, on July 30, 1998. Dr. Nakagawa was born in Tokyo on April 27, 1913, and received his B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering and his Ph.D. in engineering from the prestigious University of Tokyo. Not only was Dr. Nakagawa one of the nicest and kindliest people I have ever met, but he was also one of the most aristocratic. My wife and I fondly remember Dr. Nakagawa coming to our home in Birmingham, Michigan, and spending a lot of time with our children teaching them origami and Japanese children’s games. This no doubt had an influence on our daughter, Bronwyn, who majored in Japanese at the University of Michigan. Although I originally met Dr. Nakagawa through our mutual interests in automobile design, we both came from the aerospace and defense industries. It was through these earlier defense-related experiences that we calmly discussed the implications of the United States dropping the two atom bombs on Japan. Our discussions were both interesting and objective and, most important, each of us understood the other’s position. Dr. Nakagawa devoted his sixty-year career to engineering in a wide array of disciplines. He started his career as an aircraft engine designer in 1936 at Nakajima Aircraft Company and stayed at this company until the end of World War II.

We own our sales and service network and have operationally structured our business in a manner that we believe will enable us to rapidly develop and launch advanced electric vehicles and technologies. We believe our vehicles, electric vehicle engineering expertise, and operational structure differentiates us from incumbent automobile manufacturers. We are the first company to commercially produce a federally-compliant electric vehicle, the Tesla Roadster, which achieves a market-leading range on a single charge combined with attractive design, driving performance and zero tailpipe emissions. As of December 31, 2012, we had delivered approximately 2,450 Tesla Roadsters to customers in over 30 countries. While we have concluded the production run of the Tesla Roadster, its proprietary electric vehicle powertrain system is the foundation of our business. We modified this system

  • Honda Civic Vs Toyota Corolla
Family Hatchback Comparison: Honda Civic Vs Toyota Corolla If we list out some of the best selling cars around the world, both the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla usually top it, selling millions of examples annually. Around 300,000 Civics were sold last year in the U.S alone, followed by the Corolla at 250,000. While both of them promise simple motoring for an affordable price, there are some considerable differences between the two. So which is the better choice? Here, let’s take a look at the differences between the two and help you choose your next family hatchback. If you are looking for top hatchbacks for sale, these two can be relied upon with closed eyes. today just like their sedan counterparts. Unlike the Toyota Corolla which received a redesign back in 2018, the Honda Civic is all-new for 2022 with a redesigned body, updated interiors, and a longer feature list. Fortunately, it still balances ride and handling exceptionally well. The new Civic is only available in both sedan and hatchback body styles, as the coupe is discontinued due to low sales. We can expect the new Civic Hatchback to reach showrooms later in 2021, and it will be built in the U.S, unlike the previous generation. This time around, Honda has given the Hatchback a much sportier design to attract younger buyers. On the flip side, the Toyota Corolla remains mostly unchanged since the latest generation was launched in 2018. Unlike the Civic, the Corolla is the more affordable option here with many more features, and also has Toyota’s legendary reliability on its side.
