In the second week of the season against Arkansas State, Mathis had his best game for the Crimson Tide, recording four tackles. TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS Mathis is going to be a player the Crimson Tide builds around in the future. Due to his big performance, he was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week. In six games, Guarantano has thrown for 1,129 yards, six touchdowns and is averaging around 188 passing yards per game. Guaran- tano is also effi cient – he ranks sixth in the SEC with a 152.5 passing rating. The Crimson Tide defense needs to pressure Guarantano into bad throws if they want to win against the Volunteers.

WR Marquez Callaway One of Tennessee’s favorite targets is junior Marquez Callaway. The 6-foot-2 receiver leads the Volunteers in catches with 18 and receiving yards with 286. In 2017, Callaway led Tennessee with fi ve touchdown catches while tying for second on the team with 406 receiving yards and third on the team with 24 receptions. In order for Alabama to be successful in Knoxville, the Crimson Tide needs to keep an eye out for Callaway.

LB Daniel Bituli On defense the Volunteers are led by junior linebacker Daniel Bituli. He leads Tennessee’s defense in total tackles with 31 and is fourth on the team SCORE – Shyheim Carter has two in tackles for loss (11 yards). In the 2017 campaign, Bituli led Tennessee with interceptions returned for a touchdown 90 tackles and fi nished ninth in the SEC in tackles per game with 7.5. He also this season.
