The Blood of Christ in Christian Worship
Page 1 of 70 By David Lee Burris Page 2 of 70 Page 3 of 70 Page 4 of 70 Page 5 of 70 Page 6 of 70 INTERESTING INFORMATION ABOUT BLOOD In the adult human body, there are about five quarts of blood, which is constantly being pumped by the heart. Every twenty-three seconds, it circulates throughout the system. Every cell in the body is constantly nourished and cleansed by the flowing of this blood. Life is motion. If the life of the body is to be maintained, the blood has to be kept moving through it at all times. The minute the heart stops pumping blood, death occurs, because unless the blood reaches the cells, they die—and when that happens, the entire body dies. So, the life is in the blood, and the blood has to reach the cells to keep the life force flowing in a person. How awesome! Without a constant replenishing of blood, cells instantly begin to die. When the blood stops, life stops. If the blood circulation is cut off to an arm or leg, we say that that part of the body “goes to sleep.” In reality, it begins to die. If the blood circulation were completely cut off long enough, all use and function would cease—and eventually death would occur. What does blood consist of? The liquid part of blood is referred to as plasma, and is transparent. In this plasma there are several different entities. There are thin, transparent cells called platelets. There are also red cells and white cells. -

NOT AN EVENT. A MOVEMENT. MAY 17–20, 2018 NASHVILLE, TN MEET THE SPEAKERS AND MENTORS CLICK PROFILE PICTURES FOR MORE INFO 2 TED BRUUN’s story really begins in a doctor’s office over 25 years ago. Having fallen over 70 feet (seven stories) from a coastal precipice, landing headfirst on the sharp jagged rocks below, and still surviving, Ted listened as the Doctor told him that he had “no explanation” for how he had not been killed by the fall. It was in that moment that Ted (an insecure and “at risk” youth who had been raised by a single mother who had put him in private school and forced him to go to church) remembers knowing 2 things for sure: 1- that he was alive because a very REAL God had saved him, and 2- if this God wanted his life that bad, He could have it. From that point on, Ted says that he has tried to live his life according to the Calling that God placed on his life. In the more than 25 years that have passed since the life changing epiphany that came with his fall from a cliff, Ted has felt God develop a passion in him for the counter culture, the people that would never normally be reached by traditional outreach methods. As the Founder and Executive Director of The Reach Alliance, the parent ministry for The Extreme Tour, Stitch’s Cultural Project, and The Objective, Ted has worked with his team to develop effective, creative, and cutting edge strategies for outreach in this new millennium. -

Revelation 202 1 Edition Dr
Notes on Revelation 202 1 Edition Dr. Thomas L. Constable HISTORICAL BACKGROUND The opening verses of the book state that "John" wrote it (1:1, 4, 9; cf. 22:8). From the first century to the present day, almost all orthodox scholars have concluded that this means the Apostle John.1 Two noteworthy exceptions were Luther and Zwingli. Today, many scholars who accept the divine inspiration of the book believe the Apostle John wrote it. Others, of course, believe some other "John" wrote the book.2 Some of the early church fathers (Clement of Alexandria, Eusebius, Irenaeus, and Victorinus) wrote that the Apostle John experienced exile on the island of Patmos during Domitian's reign (1:9).3 They wrote that the government allowed John to return to Ephesus after Emperor Domitian's death in A.D. 96. Consequently, many conservative interpreters date the writing of this book near A.D. 95 or 96.4 There is good evidence that this 1See Robert L.
