Chris Wragge is co-anchor of CBS News’ “,” appearing nationwide every Monday through Friday, 7am to 9am EST on CBS.

Chris joined CBS’ flagship station, WCBS-TV, in July of 2004. He held the title of Sports Director until November of 2006, before transitioning to news anchor of CBS2 News at 5 and 11pm weekdays with Kristine Johnson. Among other events, he reported on the heroic landing of Flight 1549 in the Hudson River, the 2008 Presidential election, Elliot Spitzer’s sex scandal, the East Side crane collapse, the Brooklyn tornado, and the current collapse of the nation’s economy. In April 2007, adding to his title of main news anchor at CBS2 News, he also became co-anchor of the Saturday edition of “The Early Show.”

Chris embodies the term “workaholic;” he has worked 6 days a week since 2000. It seems to be paying off: he is a fourteen-time Emmy Award Winner, and recipient of the 2010 DuPont Award as a part of the CBS News’ “Children of the Recession” series.

Before joining CBS, Chris worked for NBC Sports. Chris is proud to rank his role in NBC’s Olympic coverage from the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in as one of the highlights of his career to date. In Salt Lake, he joined and Jim McKay on the Opening Ceremony broadcast, one of the highest-rated ceremonies in the history of the Olympics. He also served as the short track speed skating reporter, and as a reporter for the Olympic Sports desk. While at NBC, he also reported on the NBA, WNBA, Notre Dame College Football, PBR, and PGA Tour. From 2002 to 2006, Chris reported on the PGA Tour for the NBC-owned USA Network on “PGA Tour Sunday.” There, he covered four Masters Tournaments, four US Opens, a Ryder Cup and more than one hundred tour events.

Chris is no stranger to national television audiences after a career that has taken him to the red carpets of the , Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, and major movie premieres as a correspondent for from 1996-2000. Chris has also worked for The Travel Channel, DIY Network and HGTV.

Chris also worked at KPRC-TV in , Texas, WVIT-TV in Hartford, Connecticut and WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire.
