The moderate output of the Nostalgia makes it a favorite for those guitarists seeking classic tones with balanced tonal response. You can spot a Flathead pickup in a flash by it’s double adjustable coils. In comparison to the Nostalgia series this pickup has a warmer sound and utilizes an alnico 2 magnet like the original PAF pickups of the 50’s. Available both in neck and bridge models with a slightly higher output in the bridge position. The Time Capsule series of pickups is what Dean currently uses in their original TC series guitars.
