Then trauma made them a family: they ran away together after discovering their parents were actually murderous super villains. The Runaways learned to use powers and resources inherited from their parents, and returned to defeat them. The kids won, but they didn’t all survive. Two years since Gert died, Chase decided that wasn’t okay. He took Gert’s parents’ time machine and went back to stop it from happening. He succeeded, kind of, and returned to the present with Gert, but she was bleeding out from the knife wound in her stomach. Luckily, Nico (with the assistance of a doctor she mystically summoned) was able to stop the bleeding and fix Gert’s wound. But that doesn’t mean the Runaways are all better… WRITER ARTIST COLOR ARTIST LETTERER COVER ARTIST RAINBOW ROWELL KRIS ANKA MATTHEW WILSON VC’S JOE CARAMAGNA KRIS ANKA VARIANT COVER ARTIST GRAPHIC DESIGNER ASSISTANT EDITOR EDITOR KEVIN WADA CARLOS LAO KATHLEEN WISNESKI NICK LOWE EDITOR IN CHIEF CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER PRESIDENT EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AXEL ALONSO JOE QUESADA DAN BUCKLEY ALAN FINE RUNAWAYS CREATED BY BRIAN K. But the Runaways’ friend Doombot still needed repairs, so Victor tried to work through the tension and Chase tried to ignore it. Chase had managed to reboot Doombot, but only by unwittingly removing the tiny black hole placed in his chest as a deterrent from his destructive programming. Doombot awoke, and would have vanquished every Runaway if Victor hadn’t used some newly grown wiring to connect to his friend and attempt internal repairs. Founded in 2003, Prism supports queer and LGBTQ-friendly comics professionals, readers, educators and librarians through its website, social networking, booths and panel presentations at conventions. Prism Comics also presents the annual Prism Awards for excellence in queer comics in collaboration with the Queer Comics Expo and The Cartoon Art Museum. Visit us at prismcomics.org or on Facebook - facebook.com/prismcomics WELCOME We miss conventions! We miss seeing comics fans, creators, pros, panelists, exhibitors, cosplayers and the wonderful Comic-Con staff. You’re all family, and we hope everyone had a safe and productive 2020 and first half of 2021. In the past year and a half we’ve seen queer, BIPOC, AAPI and other marginalized communities come forth with strength, power and pride like we have not seen in a long time. In the face of hate and discrimination we at Prism stand even more strongly for the principles of diversity and equality on which the organization was founded. We stand with the Black, Asian American and Pacific Islander, Indigenous, Latinx, Transgender communities and People of Color - LGBTQ+ and allies - in advocating for inclusion and social justice. Comics, graphic novels and arts are very powerful mediums for marginalized voices to be heard.

Read Ebook {PDF EPUB} Runaways Deluxe Vol. 2 by Brian K. Vaughan Runaways: The Complete Collection, Vol. 2. I'm using these complete collections as an excuse to go back and read these for the first time since they originally came out. Brian K. Vaughan's still got it. The book still holds up. It's a fun, witty comic full of teen drama and kids trying to redeem the sins of their fathers. The scenes with Spider-Man and Wolverine are each hilarious. The best use I've seen of guest stars in ages. Some will find the dialogue a bit problematic at times, but it is real, especially for a comic written in 2006. Our culture has changed dramatically in what you can and cannot say during that time, not that it was ever right. But the dialogue is only coming from one kid and he is corrected by the others any time he says something politically incorrect so I view it differently.

! ! ! RUNAWAYS! ! ! ! “Family” by! Chris !Haigh ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Based on ‘Runaways’, a Marvel comics publication, and characters created by Brian K. Vaughan & Adrian Alphona ON BLACK. The sound of the waves and the ocean's most primal, elemental rhythms. As if we're deep underwater. ALEX (O.S.) Stick no more. CUT TO: INT. UNDERWATER TEMPLE - MAIN CHAMBER - NIGHT A figure collapses to the floor, the sound harsh in the silence of the chamber. NICO MINORU blinks, pushing herself up and takes in the scene around her. THE PRIDE are stood around in various groups - the Deans and the Hayes, the Wilders and the Minorus and the Yorkes and the Steins. The Minorus are knelt by the CIRCLE, the intricate layers spinning much quicker and GLOWING. The Deans and the Hayes are sat down, back to back, tied up in thick CHAINS similar to Karolina's bonds. Beside them, MOLLY HAYES keeps on sleeping, her parents' glowing eyes a testament to her slumbering state. ALEX WILDER is stood in front of her, lit from behind by the glowing turquoise light from one end of the chamber. NICO Alex? ALEX Sorry. Took me a while to get that one to get you onstuck. (smiles) You get it? 'Stick no more'? Appropriate. NICO What are you doing? ALEX What I've always done. Being loyal. Nico rises to her feet, fists bunched in anger. She looks around - and spies the rest of the gang. KAROLINA DEAN is still bound in chains and GERTRUDE YORKES is out for the count. 2. ALEX (CONT'D) Easy does it.
