Students will earn up to 6 pass/fail Application Deadline: transfer credits at WCU in either German 201, 202 or at a higher level February 17, 2020. depending on the students placement in German. Students will receive 80 Department Scholarship Deadline: hrs of instruction from Actilingua (a language school in Vienna) and an- November 1, 2019 other 10 hrs of mandatory instruction from Dr. Moser during excursions in German in Vienna and Munich, Germany, Buda- Vienna, Austria pest, Hungary, Salzburg, Austria and Bratislava, Slovakia. Excursions in- With excursions to clude: Walking tours of Vienna and Munich with Dr. Moser; Tours with Munich and Budapest Dr. Moser at the Military History Mu- seum; Belvedere Palace Öster- reichische Galerie and many more. PREREQUISITE WCU FACULTY: Pre-requisite: German 102 or the equivalent. Dr. Joseph W. Moser, a native of Vienna, Austria, attended Hiram College for his B.A., the Ohio State University for his M.A. in German literature, and the University of Pennsylvania for his Ph.D. in German and Austrian literature. His academic interests include twentieth century German and Austrian literature, Students with Dr. Moser in Salzburg’s German-Jewish history, the Holocaust, and Mirabellgarten, 2018 Students at Viennese Restaurant in 2015 German and Austrian Film, and he was published several articles on these topics Travel Dates in scholarly books over the past few years.
