Daily Mirror, Großbritannien. The track, featuring PAUL McCARTNEY, Robbie Williams and host of top stars is released on December 17 but you can watch the video now A host of famous faces including Kenny Dalglish, John Bishop and Alan Hansen have been busy in the studio recording a new charity single to help raise money for Hillsborough families' fight for justice. Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish and local MP Steve Rotheram unveiled plans for the single in October - a version of He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother sung by top recording artists including PAUL McCARTNEY, Robbie Williams, Mel C, Paloma Faith and Beverley Knight. Liverpudlian musicians such as Rebecca Ferguson, Peter Hooton, JOHN Power, Dave McCabe and Gerry Marsden, who gave the "You’ll Never Walk Alone" anthem world renown, have also taken part. He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother will be released on December 17 and is aiming to top the Christmas charts, but you can watch the video to accompany the track EXCLUSIVELY here. Liverpool-born Guy Chambers, who is producing the charity single, said he thought the record could raise up to £ 1million for the justice fund if it went to number one. He added: "I am deeply honoured to be asked to produce this record for the 96. If we can help to raise money to support the families’ legal battle so that they finally get their time in court then our job will be done. I spent my teenage years in Liverpool and feel a deep affection for both its musical heritage and the unique solidarity of its people." Dalglish said it would give the families of the 96 fans killed in the disaster "tremendous reassurance" if the public got behind the single. He said: "At the minute they feel vindicated and that would only add to that. It would be a great benefit to everybody." The Mirror columnist added: "The families of the 96 should never have been in the position they are now in, of having to fight to get the accidental verdicts from the 1989 inquests overturned. I will continue to support their dignified campaign every step of the way." Steve Rotheram MP said: "Whilst we are confident that the campaign for truth and justice is nearing a conclusion, for 23 years the bereaved Hillsborough families have carried the eternal flame of hope that we would one day see those responsible brought to justice. Mai 2019 BMG Guy Chambers ist nicht nur ein exzellenter Multiinstrumentalist, Komponist, Producer und Musical Director – ebenfalls stellt er eine Hälfte der erfolgreichsten Songwriting-Partnerschaft in der Geschichte der britischen Popmusik dar: Um genau zu sein, handelt es sich bei ihm um den etwas weniger im Rampenlicht stehenden Songwriting-Partner von niemand Geringerem, als Robbie Williams. Schon in jungen Jahren war Guy ständig von Musik umgeben. Sein Vater war Flötist im berühmten London Philharmonic Orchestra, seine Mutter war für das Decca-Plattenlabel tätig. Schon mit 5 Jahren konnte Guy Klavierspielen und komponierte seine ersten eigenen Stücke im Alter von 11. „Ich hatte einen großartigen Musiklehrer, dem auffiel, wie gerne ich improvisierte. Also spielte er mir Duke Ellington und Dave Brubeck vor.“ Mit 13 erlernte er außerdem noch das Gitarrenspiel und verdiente schon wenig später Geld in Coverbands sowie an den Wochenenden als Pianist in diversen Pubs und Clubs. Er schrieb sich an der Guildhall School Of Music ein und avancierte zum aller ersten festangestellten Pianisten im Groucho Club. Das Klavier war Guys erste wirkliche Liebe. „Das Klavier ist der König unter den Instrumenten. In Orchestern findet man es oft in der Percussion-Sektion, weil es sehr aggressiv sein kann. Jemand wie Little Richard zum Beispiel hat es als Teil der Rhythmussektion benutzt. Aber es verfügt auch über eine unglaublich poetische Seite. In melodischer und harmonischer Hinsicht bietet es alle Möglichkeiten. Dieses Instrument verfügt über so viele Klangfarben, dass es niemals langweilig wird.“ Guy Chambers verstärkte Julian Cope, Jimmy Nail und The Waterboys als Keyboarder auf Tour, bevor er 1986 Mitglied in Karl Wallingers World Party wurde.

My name is Casey Chisick. I’m a Partner at Cassels Brock in Toronto, and I’m honored, if a little confused, to have been asked to moderate this panel on the Music Modernization Act (MMA).1 For those who are not music copyright nerds and may not have been paying attention, the MMA was signed into law last October after many years of negotiation, legislation, and debate. The MMA is the first major amendment to U.S. copyright law since the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), so that’s kind of cool.
