HOW TO TRAVEL TO ADMONT

By airplane: the nearest airport is Graz Airport, 120 km to Admont. Salzburg Airport: 180 km, Vienna Airport: 240 km, Munich Airport (Germany): 330 km. Car rental companies (Avis, Hertz, …) are available at all these airports, offices open Monday to Sunday. Price for a small car, Sunday morning to Friday evening appr. € 350 (6 days). Continue by car: Graz Airport  Admont: 120 kms (we can organize a shuttle for you, fee: appr. € 240 incl. VAT)

+ Continue by train and bus: Please note that it could be troublesome to reach Admont by train and bus from your destination airport due to repeated change of transport means. If you consider to choose public means of transport you can try to find your way on ÖBB (Austrian railway’s website). The final train station (Admont’s train station is very small) should be Selzthal.

Here is an example coming from Vienna airport on Sunday, July 17th, 2016:

From Bahnhof Selzthal you have to continue with bus no. U910 to Admont or you can call a taxi 30 minutes before you arrive in Selzthal to pick you up (Taxi Fluch: 0043 664 3331711, Taxi Wagner: 0043 664 2328704. Duration: appr. 30 minutes, fee: appr. € 45 incl. VAT).

Alternatively you are free to contact a participant-colleague from your country/region to car-pool and share the fee of the car rental or the taxi-shuttle. You will find all contact-addresses on www.isbm.at/memberarea, list of participants.
