    MODERNE STRATEGIE PER L'ALLENAMENTO DELLA MARATONA By Renato Canova Renato Canova attualmente riveste l'incarico di: "Responsabile per la ricerca e sperimentazione metodologica" del mezzofondo FIDAL, "Lecteur" della IAAF con il compito di aggiornare i tecnici nazionali del mezzofondo dei Paesi africani e asiatici, E' stato il tecnico di Maria Curatolo (argento agli Europei di Helsinki '94 in maratona) e di Ornella Ferrara (bronzo ai Mondiali di Goteborg '95 sempre in maratona), attualmente è l'allenatore di Maura Viceconte (primatista italiana dei 10.000 m e della Maratona) e di molti atleti keniani, come Christopher Koskei (Campione del Mondo dei 3000 siepi), John Korir (miglior Junior mondiale sui 10.000 e 5° a Sydney 2000), Robert Kipchumba (Campione del Mondo Juniores di Cross) e Dorcus Inzikuru (Campionessa del Mondo Junior dei 5000 m), oltre a maratoneti di elevato livello come Florence Barsosio, Jacqueline Jerotich, Ruth Kutol, John Bungei, Stephen Rugut e Michele Gamba.
