CM Inaugurates Newly Installed High Mast LED Lights in Dibrugarh Town JANASANYOG, ASSAM CHIEF MINISTER’S PUBLIC RELATIONS CELL, DISPUR PRESS RELEASE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Press Release No. 715/2020 CM inaugurates newly installed High Mast LED Lights in Dibrugarh town Dispur, October 30: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated newly installed High Mast LED Lights in Dibrugarh town today. The Dibrugarh Municipality Board has installed 30 LED High Mast Lights under a scheme of the Urban Development department for which the government has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 1.5 crore. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sonowal said that the Assam government after coming to power earmarked an amount of Rs. 200 crore for beautification of 6 big towns of the State including Dibrugarh in its first budget. Accordingly steps were taken to develop civic amenities in Dibrugarh town so that this historic place could be developed as a smart town with advanced civic amenities. He further said that around 500 street solar lights would be installed in Dibrugarh soon. Urging the people to join their hands in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Chief Minister Sonowal said that the Union Food Processing Ministry under the leadership of Union Minister of State Rameswar Teli continued relentless efforts for boosting the food processing sector in Assam. He informed that the ministry is working to set up 13 thousand food processing industries in the state. Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Rameswar Teli and Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan also delivered speech. MLA Rituparna Baruah, Chairman of Dibrugarh Development Authority Ashim Hazarika, Vice Chairman of Assam State Housing Board Subhash Dutta, Vice Chairman of Assam Gas Company Limited Indra Gogoi were present among others in the programme.
