Local is not merely a need but a responsibility Narendra Modi, Prime Minister Opening gates for growth of Micro Enterprises in Food Industry VOCAL Harsimrat Kaur Badal Rameswar Teli FOR Minister of Food Minister of State, Processing Industries Food Processing Industries LOCAL PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PM FME Scheme) Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), in partnership with the States, has launched an all India centrally sponsored "PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PM FME Scheme)" for providing nancial, technical and business support for upgradation of existing micro food processing enterprises. The objectives of the scheme are : (i) Support for capital investment for upgradation and formalization with registration for GST, FSSAI hygiene standards and Udyog Aadhar; (ii) Capacity building through skill training, imparting technical knowledge on food safety, standards & hygiene and quality improvement; (iii) Hand holding support for preparation of DPR, availing bank loan and upgradation; (iv) Support to Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Self Help Groups (SHGs), producers cooperatives for capital investment, common infrastructure and support branding and marketing. One District One Product The Scheme adopts One District One Product (ODOP) approach to reap benet of scale in terms of procurement of inputs, availing common services and marketing of products. The States would identify food product for a district keeping in view the existing clusters and availability of raw material. -

Need to start teaching of Maithili in the University of Delhi .SHRI PRABHAT JHA: (Spoke in Maithili). 2. Exemption of District Mineral Foundations (DMFs) from the Purview of Income Tax and GST Acts DR. AMAR PATNAIK: I rise to make a submission for exemption of District Mineral Trust Fund from the purview of income tax and Goods and Services Tax. These DMFs undertake developmental work under the guidelines of the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana and the provisions of the Odisha District Mineral Foundation Rules, 2015. The mandate of the DMF is to provide basic developmental interventions to benefit the people inhabiting mining affected areas, most of whom are from tribes and Scheduled Areas.It is not clear whether these trusts will also have to pay the Goods and Services Tax. Unless these funds are exempted from the purview of the Income-Tax Act, 1961, and the GST, they are ___________________________________________________ This Synopsis is not an authoritative record of the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha.
