RAMASUBBU: SHRIMATI JAYSHREEBEN PATEL: SHRI ARJUN MEGHWAL: Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) whether there are reports of frequent intrusion at the Line of Control (LoC) and Line of Actual Control (LAC) by Pakistan and China respectively; (b) if so, whether the said issue has been raised in bilateral meetings, UN and other international agencies; (c) if so, the details and the outcome thereof; (d) whether there is any proposal to install high tension electric fencing and close circuit cameras along the Indo-Pak Border/LoC to check the instances of intrusions and infiltrations; and (e) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI R.P.N.SINGH) (a) to (e): There is no commonly delineated Line of Actual Control (LAC) between India and China. Due to differing perceptions of LAC and both sides patrolling upto their respective perceptions, transgressions do occur. Government regularly takes up any violation along the LAC with Cont…2/- -2- L.S.U.S.Q.No.1232 for 13.8.2013 the Chinese side through established mechanisms including border personnel meetings, flag meetings, Working Mechanism on Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs and diplomatic channels. PLA transgression in the past six months is as per established pattern.

Yogi Adityanath Tasa launched the attack during a seminar on Impact of Climate Change on Tea and Ameliorative Measures at the Tea Research auditorium at Tocklai in Jorhat district. The seminar was attended by Invincible Indians Union commerce secretary Rita Teotia, senior officials of the commerce ministry, Tea Board of India Football and stakeholders from the tea industry. Entertainment Tasa said the administration in Delhi has not shown much interest in the tea industry as there is a feeling that the tea industry is not as big as the other sectors. The turnover of the tea industry is around News Rs 15,000 crore and Assam produces more than half the tea in the country.

    III(B)(a). COMMONWEALTH PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION RELATED EVENTS FROM JUNE 2014 TO JANUARY 2019 PAN-COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE OF COMMONWEALTH WOMEN PARLIAMENTARIANS AT LONDON FROM 25-29 JUNE, 2014. CPA Secretariat, London hosted Pan-Commonwealth Conference of CWP at London from 25-29 June, 2014. The theme of the Conference was “Women in the Post Millennium Development Goal Era”. 2. The Conference held discussions on the following topics: i. Funding and fighting an effective election campaign ii. A vision for the future of Gender Equality iii. Negotiating a better position for women and girls after 2015 iv. Gender and Social Policy – Making your mark v. The role for Women in the Post-MDG era vi. Women in decision making positions – The Board Room and beyond 3. Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi, MP (LS) and Ms. Bhavana (Patil) Gawali, MP (LS) participated in the Conference. Ms. Meenakashi Lekhi, MP (LS) also participated in CWP Steering Committee Meeting held on 28th June, 2014 in her capacity as CWP Steering Committee Member from CPA India Region and submitted a Regional Report. 4. An amount of Rs. 11,53,570/- has been spent on the airfare of the Members. Airfare in respect of Smt. Meenakashi Lekhim MP will be reimbursed by the CPA Secretariat, London. THE 60TH COMMONWEALTH PARLIAMENTARY CONFERENCE IN YAOUNDE, CAMEROON FROM 2 TO 10 OCTOBER, 2014 The 60th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference was held in Yaounde, Cameroon from 2 to 10 October, 2014. An Indian Parliamentary Delegation led by Shri Pankaj Choudhary, Member of Parliament attended the Conference.
