In conversation with Prensa Latina, the manager of that mechanism for this region, Abdullah Al- Musaibeeh, stated that about four cooperation proj- ects are being implemented in Santiago de Cuba, Holguin and Havana. He recalled that he visited Cuba in March 2015 accompanied by the Fund’s general director, Abdulwahab Al-Bader, in which some accords were signed to support with funding credits the rehabili- tation of water supply networks and sewerage sys- tem in the island’s capital. He explained that he is again here to participate in Cubagua, where his institution presents today a lecture on the role in water and sanitation financing projects, and also to examine the course of cooper- ation. He reiterated the Fund’s willingness to maintain and continue collaboration it has with Cuba in all projects related to the water sector. According to the National Institute of Hydraulic Resource (INRH), that Kuwaiti entity has so far deliv- ered a sum of $52 million for the rehabilitation of water supply networks and sewerage system in benefit of the population and the capital’s institu- tions. The INRH is one of the agencies most involved of international cooperation in financing develop- ment programs, through government credits and donations. MONDAY, JUNE 15, 2015 LOCAL UN official praises Kuwaiti contributions for refugees KUWAIT: A visiting UN official has commended Kuwait’s contributions to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to help alleviate suffering of refugees in different parts of the world, particularly the Syrians. Hand qualified the No. 01 Ford EcoBoost Riley on the pole, earning his first pole with CGRFS and Ford’s first pole of the 2015 season. Hand gained a five-second lead on the field shortly into the 2 hour, 40 minute race. The first full- course caution flew for a car in the wall in Turn 11 of the 4-mile road course. Hand brought the No. 01 in under yellow for tires and fuel, and the crew took a few extra seconds to determine why the car was beginning to slow on course. Hand restarted at the back of the field but raced cleanly and steadily in an effort to catch the rest of the Prototype field. Hand passed 15 cars and was running a second faster than the leaders by time he caught up with the rest of the Prototype field. Hand brought the No. 01 in for a driver change and Pruett got behind the wheel with 40 laps to go. Shortly after taking control of the No. 01, Pruett turned the quickest lap of the race with a time of 1:57.464.
