Page 2 YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE … … BY GIVING

―A superior high school experience for all Lahainaluna students‖ is the vision of LHS Foundation‘s in the current Strategic Plan. LHSF‘s vision includes amazing dreams – a multi- purpose sports stadium, an arts and culture center Ka Malu ‘Ulu, scholarships for every graduate seeking higher education, and an endowment whose income will provide sustainability. Achieving these dreams requires resources; some in-kind and contributions – cash, stock, real estate, bequests. That‘s where the Development Committee comes in – assisting the Board in overseeing and organizing the Foundation‘s many fund-raising efforts, all oriented to making dreams come true for LHS. The newly-formed How can YOU help the Development Committee? Committee began meeting in June; its first task was to draft a Development Plan. Simply put, the Committee‘s over-arching goal is to build a strong donor base to support and sustain the dreams for LHS. The Development Plan articulates clearly all the different fund-raising activities of LHSF and ensures that all fund-raising efforts are aligned to one another especially, to the Foundation‘s vision and goals.
