Requirements of The Project 1. Water Requirement Requirement: 100 KLD Source: Ground water for domestic use and mine sump water of the adjoining mining lease during initial phase and subsequently its own mine sump water. 2. Power Requirement Requirement: 0.17 MW of power will be required for the proposed mining project. Source: State Electricity Board. 3. Man Power Requirement 45 persons ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN A. AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT Drilling Wet drilling and dust collection system during drilling to suppress dust generation at source. Blasting Controlled Blasting will be adopted with the optimum use of explosive energy which helps in reducing air pollution. No secondary blasting will be carried out. Rock breakers will be deployed in place of secondary blasting. Transportation Regular water spraying on the haul roads will be done. Regular maintenance of HEMMs & transportation vehicles. Overloading of material during transportation will be avoided. Personal protective equipment will be provided to the workers. Greenbelt Development & Plantation Green belt & plantation will be developed over an area of 64.20 ha including green belt development on 37.99 ha area of statutory barrier & safety barrier and plantation over 26.21 ha backfilled area. B. WATER QUALITY MANAGEMENT No waste water will be generated during mining operation. Septic tanks and soak pits will be provided for the disposal of domestic waste water generated from mine office. M/s. UltraTech Cement Limited 2 (Unit: Dhar Cement Works) Deora, Sitapuri & Udiyapura Limestone Auction Block with ML area - 344.783 ha with Limestone Production Capacity - 2.0 Million TPA, Top soil - 0.17 Million TPA, OB & IB - 0.25 Million TPA (Total Excavation – 2.42 Million TPA) At Village: Deora, Sitapuri, Udiyapura and Muhali, Tehsil: Manawar, District: Dhar, State: Madhya Pradesh Pre Feasibility Report Garland drain having siltation pits will be provided at the toe of the dumps, to channelize the runoff water from dumps into the water reservoir (i.e. mined out pits) & around the active pits to restrict rainy water from entering in to the working pit. Minimum use of water will be undertaken in cleaning/ washing of equipments and vehicles. Waste water generated from workshop will be passed through oil & water separator and after treatment will be used for dust suppression. Retaining walls will be provided along the toe of the dumps to avoid the soil wash out & around the active pit to prevent fall of human/animal in to the working pit. Only treated and clean water will be allowed to meet natural drainage system. Regular monitoring of ground water quality will be carried out. C. NOISE POLLUTION CONTROL Proper maintenance, oiling and greasing of machines at regular intervals will be done to reduce generation of noise. Earmuffs/earplugs will be provided to all operators and employees working near the machinery. Dense green belt and plantation will be developed around mine boundary, along the haul roads, on safety zone and on un-worked area etc.
