WORSLEY NEWS

Worsley Bridge Primary School Newsletter Friday 2nd October

Dear all,

I hope you have had a pleasant week. The sun has been out and we have certainly enjoyed the autumnal sun. It has been lovely to see all the parents visiting classes this week, meeting their child`s teacher and exploring the new building.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

A big thank you to all those that contributed to the Macmillan Coffee morning last week. In total over £170 was raised. Well done to all but particularly those mums who organised the event. I certainly enjoyed the game “Is it bought or baked” I obvi- ously have a sophisticated palate.

Please No NUTS!

A number of our children have acute nut allergies. They cannot be exposed directly or indirectly to products that contain nuts. Please check the food that your child brings into school and ensure that they do not contain nuts, for example NUTELLA!

Some Friday Trivia from the PTFA

Q: Which London Underground station has all the vowels in its name? A: Mansion House.

If you're keen on useless facts, then sign up for our quiz night on Friday October 16th at 7.30pm. Hopefully you have your booking forms by now. Please help the parents organising this by returning them by next Friday to the office or your class teacher. It will be a relaxed evening to meet other parents and carers, have a drink and win some prizes. BYOB.

Q: Where's the best place to meet Santa, take a spin on an ice rink and make a start on your Christmas shopping? A: The Worsley Bridge Christmas Fair on Saturday November 28th

The PTFA is beginning to organise our annual festive extravaganza. We'll need loads of help before and after the event and will give you a shout about how you can get involved in the run up and on the day. In the meantime, please save the date.

Please note—only stud earrings are allowed.

Your child does not need to bring in a huge bag into school, a small black rucksack or book bag will be best.
