Mission Statement

United Community Schools work to improve student achievement by addressing the educational, emotional, social and health issues that can stand in the way of learning. We connect the entire school, including students, teachers, principals and counselors, to the entire community-parents and other caregivers, non-profits, local businesses and government agencies. By mobilizing these diverse elements, we transform schools into uniquely powerful centers of health, fun, promise…and learning.

We understand that no two schools are alike, which is why we help our schools select the right community partners. From food banks to healthcare providers to after-school programs, we look throughout the community-and - beyond- to identify the most appropriate and best-qualified partners available.
